  1. Gadget Lover

    Great relay
I bought this to extend the Bluetooth range between my SwitchBot hub and sensors. I do not use the switching function. As a Bluetooth extender, it works flawlessly. I like the flexibility to use a variety of power sources. I attached an old 24 volt passive POE (power over Ethernet) adapter so I could safely hang it on the wall and plug into any nearby outlet. The instructions list several options for power inputs (100-240V AC; 12 or 24-48V DC). Wiring and setup were simple and its tiny size allows it to go just about anywhere. I’m not sure I would pay full list price (since I’m not using the full functionality), but significant discounts are frequently available. SwitchBot devices have been very reliable for me.

Great little device to automate switches
The SwitchBot 1PM is a handy device for automating tasks like turning external lights on at sunset and off after a set time. It fits easily inside a standard junction box and works reliably for daily use. Setup is simple, though including a few jumper wires would make installation even smoother.

    Great product – horrible instructions
This should be a 5 star product but their decision to use 4 point type for the instructions makes the manual uselesss. Functionally it has been flawless. It was relatively easy to set up in the app and Alexa automatically added it to its device functions. I quickly added 4 more to my system for a total of 8. They activate/automate 12V lights in the RV, the remote switch on a gate opener, exhaust fans and low voltage lights. So far they have all operated exactly as they should. The less than 2″x3″ instruction sheets are just silly.

    Garage push button wiring.
I wired it in conjunction with one of my led momentary push buttons, 28vac I think. You just need the 120 hot and neutral on the right terminals, then the 2 far left terminals are switched. I don’t think it matters, just the 2 low voltage wires either side. I think you can have it wired into the ceiling garage door opener, but I had an electrical enclosure to use. Good luck on getting Alexa and Siri shortcut to work. Really had to dig deep and figure it out. I did not have to download Matter, even though Alexa wanted me to. I think I only set it up on the, new to me, Switchbot app. Then I was able to get Siri shortcut, then finally somehow got Alexa to recognize the bot. I set the momentary switch duration in the app to the lowest setting I found(1 sec). I can now tell Siri to open the garage, so relieved. All my big garage leds come on when I get home from the Alexa arrival routine, which messes up my garage door clicker reception from my truck is mostly why I went this route if you are wondering. Don’t let the picture fool you, it really is small, might seem bigger in the pic. Just hope this helps anyone going into it blind like I did. Thanks.

Perfect and small relay with decent wattage capability
Perfect for a lot of applications, a bit complicated setup for HomeKit.

  6. TrendyGuy

Products works great for a decent price
Purchased these to install in an office renovation behind blank wall plates. They were easy to wire and set up with the SwitchBot app. After the initial setup, I was also able to add them to my Home Assistant instance using Matter with ease. They can now be controlled by both the SwitchBot app and directly via Home Assistant. The only feature I would like to see in the future is passing the power management feature to Home Assistant. This data is currently only accessible via the SwitchBot app.

    Great switch
I use them for every possible thing I can get my hands on, great product keeps my electrical bill down

  8. Just a normal person

works but not exactly what I was looking for.
Bought this to have a contact closure input, which it does do splendidly. Except only for the load its currently operating and you can not disassociate that link or use the button press as a separate signal in your smart home controllers. It did however take my bluetooth curtain controller and make it shared as matter, which is awesome

So I bought 2 of these because I never seen these before and they popped up on offer, when I got them I realised the potential, they run on mains and low voltage, I connected one to my shed that runs on 12v and now can remotely turn on lights, then I replace a LightwaveRF device that seems to turn on a light but can’t turn it off, then I wished I bought more, but the price had gone up!! Then they reduced them again so bought 3 more, now going to replace another LightwaveRf device and make a floodlight run on a cordless PIR like the switchbot under a cover or a IKEA one, 100% buy more, if you are fitting in a light switch you will need a neutral wire and a spacer not sure if 10mm would be OK not tried yet will update when tried
