LEVOIT Superior 6000S Designed to Enhance Your Whole House Comfort and Well-being!
The principle of LEVOIT Exclusive Evaporative Tech:
Evaporative technology utilizes a high-speed fan to create a spiraling air current that accelerates water evaporation, ensuring effective air circulation throughout the entire space, thus enhancing environmental humidity.
The benefits of LEVOIT Exclusive Evaporative Tech:
1. Enhanced mist distribution: By drawing in air and emitting ultra-fine water particles, it efficiently humidifies your entire home, covering an expansive area of up to 3,000 sq. ft.
2. Even Humidity Everywhere: Our built-in fan promotes uniform and rapid humidity control throughout the room.
3. Hidden Pure Moisture: The evaporative humidifier emits no white dust, and no mist, meanwhile, not wet furniture.
4. Due to supply chain adjustments, some units now come with a gray filter instead of the blue one. This change does not affect the product’s performance or filtration efficiency.
Note:
1. Suitable for all water types, including tap water.
2. The filter lasts 3-6 months, depending on the environment and water quality.
3. To protect the water pump, we recommend our valued users use a water filter sponge to better remove impurities and foreign matter in the water, keep the water pump smooth, and achieve better humidification effects.
TROUBLESHOOTING:
Why does a yellow substance or white scale appear on the surface of the filter?
–Residue or discoloration on the filter is due to filtering impurities like calcium and magnesium ions from water. Our tests confirm that it has no impact on air quality or humidification efficiency. Feel free to use it for over 3 months.
Why the humidity on the screen is different from the household hygrometer?
–In tests, the sensor, placed 1m from the humidifier, maintains humidity accuracy within 5%.
Is there a designated installation orientation for the filters?
–When installing the filters, please ensure that the section with the silk-screen print is facing upwards.
Why the target humidity cannot be fixed in auto mode?
–Auto mode is the humidity range set by the machine as most suitable for the human body. If you want to customize the humidity, you can choose the humidity mode.
Where to buy filters?
–Please search B0D5CZBTJS to find.

Simple assembly. Handsome. Highly functional, especially with the app.
I’ve only had the humidifier for three days but I absolutely love it. I was using an older AirCare,I think it was H 1409, but with it I had to carry two 3 gallon heavy bottles of water and that was hard on my back. I also had to stand there and wait for the unwieldy bottles to fill from my bathroom sink. With this humidifier, all I have to do is wheel the bottom of it into the bathroom and attach the hose to the sink and voilà! It begins filling. I have an unusual water spout. Nevertheless, the way the hose is designed, some kind of squishy large silicone fitting, it fit over my new and odd faucet just fine. I just started using the app which I didn’t know came with it, and using the app I put the humidifier on auto for humidity level, time of day, and whether I was home or away. I basically don’t have to do anything except fill it with water which it may need today on the third day of all night plus about three hours usage. I am not good generally with assembling things, but putting this all together and filling it with water took less than 20 minutes. The directions were really good and you could also tell from just from looking where things went. I have generally slept with a fan sound, but I’m trying to wean myself off of it. This humidifier is very quiet compared to a normal fan. You can adjust the setting of the fan. For me, sleeping has been great. And finally, not only is it very functional, especially with the app, but it’s quite handsome. I got the white one and I really like the way it looks. I like that it’s taller and narrow compared to the other 6 gallon one I have. By the way, I live in Southwest Arizona, so having a good, efficient, highly functional humidifier is essential. Outside, our humidity right now is about 15%. I keep the humidifier set at 43%.

    Whole home humidifier
This is a review after having for 2 weeks. Background about me: I looked around at many different options for home humidification. Where I live in the North East, summers are usually hot and humid and fall and winter tends to be very dry. We had a particularly dry spell at the end of October, which lead to sinus issues and I needed some relief. I thought of getting a professionally installed humidifier for my central air system, but decided against that as running a water line to the attic which would be prone to freezing was not acceptable. I also looked at portable steam humidifiers but the choices were limited and not great. So, an evaporative humidifier it is.I have a large space; room-sized humidifiers don’t do anything because of forced air heat (I have a venta airwasher which I am going to retire), so I needed something with a lot more oomph. I’ve tried ultrasonic misters in the past, and they are novel, but generally don’t do a good job. The Levoit 6000s fits what I wanted. A humidifier that can work for my whole house (~2000ft²) and doesn’t need constant filling and attending. In this super low humidity time of the year, 6 gallons lasts maybe 36 hours. The machine actually evaporates that much water, it is pleasantly surprising. RH increases rapidly up until about 45%, then it is slower as it diffuses.Seems to cease increasing the humidity once RH is about 60% and the temp is around 70F. Which is fine, 50% RH makes your nose happy and doesn’t make everything feel damp. A steam humidifier might over humidify an area. The unit stops operating with about 1/2gal left in the tank. The water at this point turns yellowish, due to calcium being left behind. I also notice when the water level starts getting very low, and the humidity is somewhat high, you’ll hear a slight tricking sound as the water from the pump isn’t evaporating on the pads and is dripping back into the tank. Its not obnoxious though.Automatically shuts off when the water level is too low to continue. Has 3 fan speeds. I leave it on 2 as it just disappears into background noise. Speed 3 is a bit loud, I measured around 41db from 1m away. Speed 2 is below 30db, my meter won’t read it. You can also turn off the lights, so if you are a light sleeper this won’t bug you.Power usage on fan speed 1 is 3 watts, speed 2 is 8 watts, speed 3 is 21 watts. The bottom line is, this works great for your whole house, even with forced air HVAC, it has a lot of nice creature features you’ll appreciate, and doesn’t seem to need a lot of attention. It brings the humidity to around 50% quickly, but don’t expect it to bring the humidity much above that on speed 2. Generally, that’s the sweet spot for happy nose and skin anyway. The design is resistant to leaks and spills. If you can lift it in and out of your sink or bathtub go for it, otherwise it comes with a silly hose thing to fill it.Update: a few months later. This thing still rocks. I added a screenshot of an independent analysis of how fast this can throw the humidity out there. I replaced the pads with blue ones, and it’s working just fine. Keep up with the mold and mildew growth, otherwise it starts to smell and can give you allergies. Run the unit dry and let it sit empty and dry for a few days every now and then. I bleach the pads and just dump a little bit of bleach in the unit every so often (like a couple tablespoons). It makes everything smell (like bleach) for a while, but it does the trick with sanitizing everything in the machine. Suggest doing the bleach treatment in a garage or other space where you won’t be breathing it.

    Great reviews could be misleading
I bought this 6 gal humidifier for my plant room for when we go on vacation. The goal humidity for my plant room is 60-70% humidity. I have a much smaller levoit humidifier that I was using but since I won’t be home to fill it every day for the next two weeks (plant sitter coming twice a week), I needed something with a larger capacity to last a few days. This is the same brand as my smaller one, same features. However, with the smaller one I noticed the hygrometer was severely off so I have 4 separate hygrometers placed in each corner of the room. And three fans that circulate the moisture. The room is just above 200ft^2.The older smaller one which is rated for a much smaller room maintains the humidity at 65% on its own and shuts off throughout the day when set to auto. This new larger one which is rated for a significantly larger space than what I need couldn’t even get the humidity above 40%. It is a completely enclosed room with floor to ceiling glass windows on all three walls and one partial wall with a large sliding glass door. There is no air conditioning in the room, so it does get quite warm in there, about 85 degrees Fahrenheit. But this large humidifier ran CONSTANT, on HIGH for three days, and couldn’t get the humidity above 40% according to all 4 hygrometers (which read the same as the hygrometer on the machine surprisingly). I ended up having to add the small older humidifier into the room to provide some back up for it.Also it is VERY awkward to maneuver around because there are no handles to hold onto for the water tank, which makes lifting and dumping out the remaining water before refill awkward. It would also be nice if there was a led inside the water tank to show the water line of how full it is.Overall I’m very disappointed I wasted my money on this instead of a different one but I wasted so happy with the smaller one that I thought a larger one would be equally as good. Also I’m having to fill it every morning and every night. Where as my 1.5gal old one I only had to fill once before bed just to make sure it didn’t run out in the middle of the day the next day while I was gone. How is this one using 10x as much water, running CONSTANTLY, and not raising the humidity up as high as the little one? Makes no sense.

Updated review at January 3, 2024:After almost 1 month of constant 24/7 use of my 6 Gallon LEVOIT Smart Evaporative Humidifier for up to 3000ft², I learned from the company I purchase this machine’s filters from that the discolouration – even after just 24 hours of use – is totally normal and an expected result of filtering out impurities in the water used. So that’s a relief that it’s not growing algae on the filters. Actually, after using 100% distilled water in my humidifier for this past month since that first fill of municipal tap-water, the filters have not shown any further discolouration. So no doubt the distilled water will likely extend the life of the filters, and possibly the machine as well.But….after a cost-analysis of using Distilled Water vs, tap water in this humidifier, it’s more cost effective and practical to just use tap water. It would cost me $1,700 per year in Distilled Water (as the machine is averaging 32 Litres per week). So even if using tap water in the humidifier cause more wear and tear and build-up resulting in (worst case scenario) needing to replace the filters monthly (at $107.26 CAD including taxes and delivery) and yearly replacement of the humidifier at $346.50 CAD (includes taxes and free delivery), I’d still save $70/year and wouldn’t have to haul all the jugs of Distilled Water to use in the humidifier! So I feel it’s economically worth the risk to use tap water in this humidifier, and if I can stretch the rate of filter and machine replacement, I’ll save even more money yearly.I’ll update this review if I learn anything further. For now I’m extremely happy with my cute little robot-looking Humidifier I’ve named “Robbie”, haha!——-My original review:My 6 Gallon LEVOIT Smart Evaporative Humidifier for up to 3000ft² is already growing algae on the evaporative filter media after only 24 hours of use of this brand new machine. The humidifier was delivered by Amazon at 3:30pm December 8, 2023. I immediately unpackaged, filled it with tap-water as instructed and started it on the highest speed to see how long it could boost my humidity levels from their current 10% in my home and to see how it performs after going through a full tank of water. We’ll it sure does humidify the air really well in my 1100 square foot residence. Within just 3 hours my humidity went from 10% to 35% (I am using a separate hygrometer to determine the accuracy of the actual humidifier’s humidity gauge which does appear to be very accurate after 1 day of use at least). After 8 hours it was up to 58% humidity. It used a full tank of water (21 Litres/6 Gallons) in 24 hours of use on the highest speed by 4pm December 9, 2023. When I went to refill it, I had a good look at the evaporative filter media and it is already turning green in spots and the residual water at the bottom of the humidifier’s tank was very visibly yellow in colour. My municipal water in my city is among the very best quality water in the world (I live I Edmonton, Alberta Canada and we have award-winning water quality…and I work with water quality specialists who have confirmed this), so I observed the water was clean and clear going into the humidifier.I have since opted to fill the humidifier this time with 100% distilled water and I’ll see if it makes any difference to the algae growth I’m seeing on the filter.I bought this evaporative humidifier because of its claims to produce healthier humidified air as the filter is not sitting directly in water all the time – instead water flows across the filter and evaporates so the filter shouldn’t be growing algae – especially within just 24 hours of use!I’ll update my review when I’ve had a chance to determine if the distilled water is solving the algae growth issue with this humidifier’s filter.

We bought three of these thinking that they would be fantastic. We filled them up and plugged them in and they run for three or four seconds and then they all shut off and say there is no water. Started a warranty claim with the company, and we hope that they will refund us the money. Not good at all.*Updated review:Manufacturer’s (Levoit’s) Customer Service telephone line started the claim process. Had to email the manufacturer a video of empty tank malfunction red light icon and also the Amazon pdf invoice. Heard by email from Levoit from the claims department the next day. Agent recommended to wait for about five days for the tech department’s updated firmware available via the VeSync app. Also provided us the option to cut the cords and send a photo of the cut cords to start a replacement process. We opted to wait for the firmware update. It actually worked! Once the new firmware was installed via the VeSync app to each of the units separately, the pump did finally start to bring water from the tank below to the upper tray to drip onto the filters to make them wet and hence evaporate the water with the fan’s airflow. *Note that it is necessary to be persistent in restarting the unit several times (between 6 to 20 times, actually!) before the pump is primed and starts to deliver the water as it should. USE MANUAL MODE WITH FAN SET TO HIGHEST SPEED. (Speed 9 on the app, or 3 fan icons on the dash.) We almost gave up several times. But patience paid off. Once the pumps were finally primed in this way, the product works extremely well. The design and the build is smart and of excellent materials. The functionality is excellent. The fans are smooth and quite quiet, a gentle background white noise. It was an anxious ordeal having invested in three units at once and having none of them function, at first. Customers Service at Levoit was reasonable and their firmware update saved the day. Levoit SHOULD stipulate very clearly, though, to PERSIST IN POWERING ON THE HUMIDIFIER UNTIL THE PUMP IS PRIMED. Eventually you can hear the first trickle of water coming up into the top tray. Only then are you home free. Now we love the product as we expected we should. But it was a trying experience, to be honest. These machines raise the humidity level quickly compared to other types. We got this evaporative model after having bad experience with the white dust from the sonic misting types.Seriously, despite the initial frustrations getting it going, we love this new Levoit model with its big tank and intelligent design. Love it!

This humidifier does indeed humidify a large room quickly. However, my first humidifier started making a loud, piercing noise just a few months after purchase. I contacted customer service and received a replacement under warranty. After waiting two to three weeks in dry air, the new unit finally arrived. At first, it worked fine, but within less than a week, a part securing the fan fell off. That part is now stuck inside the fan, and I don’t think it’s safe to use the device anymore. We are currently in contact with customer service again, and I will post here for further updates

I’ve been using it almost daily during the winter times and the performance is top notch. As like any other humidifiers, it requires regular maintenance. However, with the simplistic design, the maintenance is straight forward and easy. The only downside is replacement of filters which can be quite expensive in the long run, but the wide coverage the humdifier provides, I’ll willing to pay for it time to time. Overall, good humidifier with reasonable price.

The humidifier worked fine from February to May this year. When I tried to use it November 9 2025, the red light kept coming on which indicates something is plugged and the water cannot be sensed or accessed so the unit shuts off. I’ve gone through the troubleshooting instructions three times and nowhere did it come up with what I eventually found to work. The humidifier top, D in the diagrams, has to be positioned correctly over C, the wick filter frame, which I had correctly. After soaking everything in vinegar for an hour or so, it still did not work. Then it occurred to me that there is a small tube in the top that matches up with the water pump tube – that’s why the instructions say to put the top on facing the front of the humidifier with the water gauge.I took the top off, turned it over, and looked at its tube and added a few drops of vinegar into it a few times and scoured it out with the handle of a crochet hook small enough to fit.Put the top back on the base, turned it on and voila the humidifier worked. Nowhere in the instructions is this possible place of blockage mentioned so there is no instruction on how to unblock it.In the meantime, I purchased another Levoit Superior6000S US, with the extended warranty, which arrived by email Nov 9th.So, because of the missing maintenance information I’ll now have two Levoit humidifiers, same model, with an extended warranty on one I won’t have to use for who knows how long so the warranty is useless to me.Not good information by Levoit.Three stars for being a good humidifier – loss of two stars for poor instruction manual and no customer support on weekends.
