Great product without plastic waste
I have been researching natural soaps to reduce plastic waste. I decided to try these because they appear to check all my boxes without spending more on some of the other brands of similar quality. I cannot use synthetic fragrances but love natural scents. I read the one star reviews and noticed that a lot of people expect the natural fragrances to last like synthetic, but the reality is that they are not supposed to because they don’t contain the harmful chemicals that give synthetic fragrances their staying power. They do provide an aromatic shower experience and they lather well and are moisturizing. I found that one bar lasted me about 2 1/2 weeks with almost daily showers. I have so far only used the bars without grit and I think the description should indicate which bars contain grit for exfoliation, however these assortments give you the chance to try different levels of exfoliation. I like supporting companies that this that are trying to help make sustainability affordable.

Great Moisturizer and Odor Fighter
I am new to natural soaps this year. What got my attention first was the price. It is around the average price for a 6 pack. As some people know, cheap may be cheap and expensive may just be expensive. Quality is what’s important. This is a quality soap at a good price. Everything from the soap to the packaging is organic and recyclable. Each soap is individually boxed with a corner showing the bar of soap. All of the ingredients are natural oils. This soap is good as a moisturizing soap. There may be a slight dryness as I feel no soap that I have used makes you feel like oil. This one is great at preventing that super dry skin that I had with regular soap.I have found that the regular soaps I was using was scented and made me smell like I have not had a bath in days. This soap takes care of all that. It does not have much of a fragrance, but compared to what I was smelling like, this soap has me smelling like clean air. When you open the box, the fragrance is strong and it seems like they all smell good and will make you smell that way. The one thing that will happen when you take a shower is, the fragrance will disappear, but that’s ok because you will be clean and fresh in the end. Some people’s bodies cannot handle perfumes and colognes. This soap is perfect for that purpose. There is one that is exfoliating (Tango Mango). There is also the one with peppermint. Beware not to let it get in your eyes.These soaps have a decent lather, not too much, but enough to know that it is soap. That’s probably the reason that it does not dry you out. I think soaps with a lot of lather tends to dry you out more. This one rinses clean so that’s a signal that it moisturizes more by not leaving soap scum on you as regular soaps do. Each soap lasted me almost a week. One of the things I really like is, I can use a bar until it dissolves completely. It does not break into pieces like another brand that I used that was extremely expensive for soap. I bought it the same time that I bought Crate 61. This soap gets razor/paper thin and continues to provide lather until it disappears on your skin. Excellent job!!! I am going to buy the one with men fragrances next. I expect the same cleaning and clean fresh smell. I have been turned off by soaps that leave you smelling like roses, perfume, or cologne. I just want to smell fresh and stay fresh all day. I did not have that with regular soaps. I rather spend the money to be clean than to save the money to smell dirty. Crate 61 will be a go to soap for me as I continue to test out natural soaps. You should not be disappointed with this soap if you had the issues as I did.

Pretty good soap for the shower. The scents are pretty good. Don’t like or ever use the activated charcoal bar that is often included.

High quality, cruelty free, handmade from North America
A great price for quality handmade soap! Ordered for my husband – the scents int eh “man” set are masculine and have pleasant scents without being overbearing. He loves these soaps. We’re both especially glad it’s cruelty free – the only way we go on self care products – and are made in North America. These were such high quality that I ordered a more feminine-scented set for my son’s girlfriend. Gentle on skin, no plastic packaging.

Game changer!!!!
Like a lot of folk who watch youtube I have been bombarded by Dr. Squatch soap ads over the last couple yrs. Couple that with my new mission of doing things as close to natural as I can, and my interest was peaked. I then did what most folks do when they want to learn more about said product, I went to the site and dropped a proverbial brick in my shorts when I looked at the price!!! I didn’t want to give up on swapping the basement lab experiment that is my normal body wash for something more natural, but I also didn’t want to sell one (or both) of my kids to do it. Enter crate 61. I didn’t know this company from adam, they just had a “manly” variety box at a decent price with simple ingredients so why not. I’m here to tell you I’m never going back to “normal” body wash again.I have the definition of combination skin. My father’s skin was greasy, my moms skin is bone dry. Therefore for the first hour after my shower I have tumble weeds rolling across my forehead, and from then on, It feels like I headbutted an oil tanker. After a couple days of using this soap I felt 1000% more balanced. It’s not a miracle in a bar, but I have never felt moisturized AND clean getting out of the shower in my whole life. Those effects last hours. Eventually I get greasy again but you can’t fight nature regardless (this also does’t claim too) but the point is I feel great. The main ingredients in all of the bars are a combination of olive oil, coconut oil, avocado and palm oil with other variations depending on the bar. Those good oils have been proven to have an anti inflammatory effect on the skin and while I wouldn’t call it a cure for acne, my skin is much clearer. I chalk it up to simple ingredients vs chemicals in modern soaps. As far as the scents, It’s a mixed bag and completely subjective. Beside I have never had a shower wash of any kind stick around for more than an hr anyway so It’s a moot point. I for one dig some, not others, hence the variety pack but I’ll know what to order going forward. The 6 bars do come in a very nice box and while it would be a fine gift as packaged, it tends to combine the smells until they are removed for a day or so. In regards to longevity, 1 bar has so far lasted 2 weeks with only half gone. I’m an average dude but I’m bald (i use it for hair soap too with no dandruff) and basically take military showers so millage may vary. I recommend using a loofa and turn the heat down on your shower just a little. If you use the bar directly on your skin in a hot shower it’s probably going to disappear quick.Honestly I’m ecstatic over this product and even recommended it to my sister who has the same dry vs greasy daily epic battle type skin as I do. The only downside so far is the eucamint bar I’m using now is not my fav and I want to move on but its holding up like a champ, go figure!UPDATE: 4/12/20I’m still not through the entire box of soap and it still feels great to shower with. I have 2 full bars left after all this time so longevity is a plus. I have noticed that using a loofa less is more. I actually get a better scent out of the soap if I don’t go crazy with it, just a few quick rubs on the loofa and I’m golden plus I bought a soap saver and keep it on the opposite end of the shower head. In all fairness I shower about 2 to 3 times a week with Neutrogena acne soap because of the aforementioned greasy skin but this soap helps keep that soap from drying everything out too much.

They smell amazing, they lather up great, and with the first wash I can feel the difference on my skin. It’s softer and smoother. And even though the sent isn’t over powering at all, I’ve gotten compliments on how I smell with just the soap. Will definitely buy again.
