A nice addition to your outdoor kitchen
Each of our family of four has their own ideas of what should be on a pizza. This oven makes smaller pizzas, so everyone can have what they want. When it’s 95°F (35°C) outside, the last thing you want to do is heat up your kitchen, after all.I’ve learned a few useful tips in my first few uses. First off, the peel comes with a plastic coating on both sides. Get that off before you try to use it!Next, you need a table where you can spread your dough (a kneading board is useful here) and keep your toppings and cold beverage. If you have a grill (open but not fired up), it can also be useful as extra shelving while you’re cooking. If someone wants ground beef or sausage, use the grill’s side burner.Generously coat both the pizza stone, the peel, and your kneading board with cornmeal before getting started. You can use the peel to scrape burned cornmeal off the stone after two or three pizzas. Lay the flattened dough directly on the peel, add toppings, and it’s off to the oven! There’s not a lot of room in the fire chamber for thick sticks of wood. Make the largest sticks 1 to 1.5 inches (25-40mm) thick. Check the fire after every pizza and add more wood if needed. If you let the fire get too low, the oven temperature will drop quickly. The shelf at the bottom holds enough wood to make six or more pizzas.Try to keep the oven temperature around 450°F (230°C) as much as possible. For me, I can get close when the fire chamber vent is cracked open and the flue vent is about halfway open.Check the pizza after two minutes. At this point, it should only need one or two more minutes to finish. Look for browning around the edges of the crust, and melted cheese in the middle. When done, use the peel to take the pizza out and lay it on a dinner plate for cutting and serving. If the fire gets too hot, use a squirt bottle with water to spray the fire and cool things down. At 500°F (260°C), you run the risk of scorching your pizza crust… ask me how I know. You can avoid scorching at that temp, but you need to keep a really close eye on things. It might take two or three sessions to get the hang of it. Baking with wood is different from a gas or electric oven, because you have to keep track of the fuel and adjust the draft as needed. I’m looking forward to trying to bake rolls or roast meat some time. Finally, take the peel inside with you. When you’re not cooking outside, you can still use it to take frozen or homemade pizzas out when they’re done.

    Awesome for smoking
I absolutely love this thing, it took a little while to put together but it was so worth it, I’ve been using it as a smoker, and I’ve made some incredible chicken and I just made some nice steaks the other night

    Pizza Oven Fun
Okay, this backyard pizza oven is awesome. I set it up, tossed in some wood, and BAM.. perfect, crispy pizzas in no time. The pizza stone makes the crust taste like a real brick oven pizza (way better than frozen ones!).It’s got little side tables for all my toppings, and the wheels make it easy to roll around. Plus, it comes with a pizza peel and a cover, so I didn’t have to buy extra stuff. If you love pizza and don’t wanna wait for delivery, this thing is a must have and so convienent. We use it all the time now.

    Poor quality
Timely and difficult to assemble. The ceramic plate came broken and couldn’t get it replaced.

  6. Jason

Assembly is much harder than it should be
The only reason this gets 2 stars is because I haven’t used it yet. I’m sure it will work as advertised but the instructions on putting it together are ridiculously awful, typical for a chinese product. It shouldn’t take 4 hours to assemble with 2 people. I almost gave up on it. Nothing is labeled, so buyer beware. I should have reviewed the reviews prior to purchase.

    Do Not Buy
The only reason I didn’t send it back was because I didn’t want to deal with repacking everything. It’s the most difficult thing I’ve ever assembled. It takes two people to put it together, because most of the pieces need to be bent or held in place with force in order to assemble without stripping the hardware. None of the parts are labeled, which wouldn’t be a dealbreaker except that the instructions are garbage. It’s almost impossible to tell how pieces are supposed to be oriented. I used it as a guide and tried to make sense of where the parts should go. Assembly for something like this should be an hour or two. It takes 3 times that long.

    Friday Night Pizza
My husband love his pizza cooker that he got for Christmas. Easy to put together and love that it comes with all the extras. Was great family fun. We each designed our own personal pizza! Wood burning pizza is the way to go! 10stars

I have used this few times in the backyard, it’s amazing, and you can cook not only pizza but many things. The quality of the item is great, made out of great steel and it seems very solid, durable and solid. It was easy to assemble and followed the instruction without any issue. It’s a heavy duty steel and would last for long time. The price is very reasonable and and size is big enough. I like it and recommend it.

  10. Steve

Had thus for a couple years. Seems to be holding up, does a nice job on everything but wings. People here seem to build fires that are way to big for it. A small fire off to one side away from.the pizza is what I find works best. Try to maintain 450°Doesn’t retain heat well bit for what it is, it’s awesome. Avoid pine wood, look for hardwood only.

Not sure if it’s a great product or not yet . But the instructions you put it together are awful. Nothing is numbered. My husband has put lots of stuff together and is an excellent handy man but this is awful to put together. Hopefully it works well and worth the effort to get it together.

Not happy it was missing a few items paddle, cover and pizza stone and bolts, screws and nuts , the bolts and nuts that were there had no threads on them not impressed with the product at all

  13. JC

Great design, easy to assemble, satisfied with the build quality. It cook pizza, also can cook other meat or vegetables. I would advise the manufacturer make the stone bigger. Because most frozen pizza are 12 inch.Overall, it is great out door oven with the nice style. Hope the spring coming soon.
