    LOVE
Let’s be clear: I did not buy this soap, ECOS Pear Dishmate, for dishes. I bought it for the scent. It smells less like a cleaning product and more like a secret, forbidden fruit grown in an enchanted orchard that only appears once every thousand years. If I could bathe in this pear, I would. If I could use it as a cologne, I’d probably be arrested for smelling too appealing. The problem? It’s actually good at its job. This is where things get confusing for me. I was ready to forgive its incompetence, given the olfactory paradise it provides, but no—it cuts through week-old lasagna remnants and that mysterious, cemented-on stuff at the bottom of the roasting pan like a tiny, pear-scented ninja. My dishes are so clean, they almost don’t recognize themselves. They look shocked and gleaming. If you enjoy having clean dishes, soft hands, and a kitchen that smells like a magical orchard, avoid this soap. But if you want a true, life-changing experience that might make you question everything you thought you knew about cleaning supplies, then, by all means, buy it. Just don’t blame me when you start hugging your bottle of pear soap.

Great Product – Long time customer
I love this Grapefruit scented dish soap! It is very gentle on my sensitive hands and does not dry me out even in the winter up north. That said it gets the job done perfectly without having 10x the suds that the leading mainstream products have (to make you feel like they are working but just require so much more water to rinse away). It is a bit more viscous than the other leading brands which is fine by me as I use it in my built-in sink soap dispenser. The consistency has NEVER ever clogged up the pump unlike Palm…..other brands. The scent is not a fake one which I find enjoyable and not in your face overpowering. Love that it is uses natural citrus oils for its ability to cut the grease.I have seen a few negative reviews for the Free & Clear and perhaps that is the difference…. get the Grapefruit one! Let the fruit acids do their thing. 🙂

    Good product, but goes fast
I was looking for a good-quality environmentally better dish soap. This works quite well. I do keep a side bottle of Dawn for extra-greasy jobs, but I don’t need to use it much; this does a good job with most grease. It has a very mild fragrance, which I appreciate. I can’t stand the heavy fragrance of most other brands, including Dawn. Not only do I just personally find it unpleasant, but why do I want all that fragrance on my dishes??Price is great, too.My one note is that it goes pretty fast. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve been used to a highly concentrated product, but I’ve been a bit surprised at how fast it goes. So, maybe the price is a little less great than I thought.

    Cuts Grease
I absolutely love this dish soap! It actually leaves my dishes squeaky clean and odorless. Since we mainly use coconut and olive oils and eat a plant diet (with the occasional fish or beef dishes), the grease isn’t too heavy, and this soap handles it perfectly. The grapefruit scent is so refreshing and makes doing the dishes with warm water a surprisingly relaxing experience. One of the best things is that it’s PFAS-free, which means it’s totally safe for babies or little ones who are constantly touching everything and putting things in their mouths. I even wash their toys with this soap, and it works like a charm. I’ve been using this same product since 2020.

Excellent dish soap for regular use
Very good dish soap, and good quality, saves money, don’t need to overuse for good cleaning

  6. Amazon Customer

    Not easy to dispense
This soap is more like a gel than a liquid so it has trouble coming out of the soap brush. It cleans well and smells ok, but the ease of use is suboptimal.

  7. Gabrielle Dennis

Very effective in cutting grease on dirty dishes, pots and pans and leaves them all clean!
Nice grapefruit-scented 2 pack of dishwashing liquid that is very effective in cutting grease on dirty dishes, pots and pans! It leaves them all clean!

Great Dish Soap for sensitive skin
I suffer from allergic contact dermatitis and most dish detergents and other household cleaning products as well as many different types of vegetation such as lettuce, and other green or leafy veggies which make my hands break out into a terrible itchy rash. I have been to several dermatologists and was told to wear gloves and use prescription ointments, etc which I do most of the time. I used to use Palmolive dish liquid for many years and they have recently changed their formula and it is now the worst for sensitive hands. This product is gently and does a great job at cutting grease and cleaning other household items. I noticed the price has jumped dramatically on this product, but only on Amazon, compared to when I last purchased it. The price on Amazon has more than tripled in the last month. I now buy it at Walmart dot com, where it is currently only $2.38 per bottle for the same size and it’s over $14 for 2 on Amazon. Not sure why it is so overpriced on Amazon and it makes no sense, but it is a great product and I highly recommend this if you have sensitive hands. Also, the METHOD BRAND PRODUCTS ARE REALLY GOOD FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH SENSITIVE SKIN. Their products are a bit pricey and difficult to find in stock so when I find them at a good price I usually buy several bottles on either Amazon or W a l m art.

Moderate cleaning power.Recommend to mention expiry date of the product for those who want to store for long period.
