Perfect for skin
I wanted something natural to wash my face with so I bought this. It’s pretty big so I was able to cut it in half and use one half to wash my makeup and cleanser off at night. It becomes fairly soft when you soak it and all the little convoluted parts of the sponge removes the makeup and skin care products really well. I have dry skin and it’s not as harsh as a washcloth. I’ll definitely buy more in the future.

I use them for my face and neck to really clean my areas of all the germ of a busy city street . They also clean your skin from makeup and whiteheads before they become blackheads.

Funky brown spots
The sponge was a perfect size very large 5″ plus, which would be great for the shower. However… there are funky brownish orange spots on one side in an area that feels very hard – almost like the core of the sponge. In fact, that might indeed be what it is. Since it’s a natural sponge, maybe this is where it was cut away from where it was growing??? Don’t know. But, I know that I don’t want to rub that on my skin in the shower. Sorry, Awesome Aquatics, but this particular sponge is not awesome. It’s going back to you.

Very brittle, broke up in pieces after a few uses. Go buy the Baby Buddy brand instead – that thing has lasted me months longer and is actually softer.
