    Perfect for home automation.
Awesome product. Works great with Google Home and Alexa. I have these on every light switch in my home. It is super convenient to turn lights on/off from my phone. The app shows which lights are on, and I can turn off my kids lights when they forget to do that. There is also a bit of automation you can set up, but I haven’t bothered to use it. Well worth the investment.

Excellent value. Nice quality! Setup was easy. Make sure you have a neutral wire!
These tapo devices continue to impress me. The price is great, you can place them just about anywhere you want at a very reasonable price. The instructions are extremely well done. They just seem to work each and every time. And these things can be very complicated for my point of view. However, not that it’s tapos fault, but the combination of the dimmer and the type of dimmable light bulb is quite a calculation. I think it’s the light bulb manufacturers that need to be more clear on how things dim. Seems to me that the dimmer switch from tapo is doing his job very well. They use something like triac and leading-edge dimming as the tech they use. The light bulbs are not near as transparent as what they expect to get from the dimmer. All that being said the dimmer is very smooth, the switch itself is excellent. The price is wonderful especially when you compare it with a box store dimmer. I have only used the Wi-Fi connection at this point with my tablet devices. But I’m about to step into the hub ecosystem so I can get some sensors and cameras. But so far this particular dimmer looks good, functions good, and more glad I pick it up. I’ll be picking up more.

Affordable and Smart — Works Great with Alexa
This smart switch has been a solid addition to my smart home setup. It’s very cost-effective, integrates seamlessly with Alexa, and works with the popular Tapo app, which I already use for other smart devices. Setup was straightforward, and I use it to control the lights in my garage—super convenient when coming and going.Occasionally, it doesn’t seem to register when I give it a quick tap in passing, but that might be more about me not fully pressing it than a fault with the switch itself. Once you press it properly, it works reliably every time. The point of it, was to allow me to turn it on and off, with Alexa while in my garage/gym. There is no dimming, but my lights don’t dim anyways. It can be set to a timer if you need it to be.For the price, features, and performance, this is a great smart switch. I’ll likely be adding more of these throughout the house.

Clean, Paddle Switches with Great Connectivity, Reliability, Durability and Performance!
Tapo (the successor of Kasa) is one of my favorite affordable smart home brands for the wide range of appliances they offer to help you automate your home. They have a sensor or switch for just about every purpose, making them a great option for home security and surveillance as well! These paddle switches are super easy to wire in and set up with their app. The build quality has held up for me the past 3 years! These particular switches DO NOT DIM, but they DO have a Dimming option available in another product. They’ve always had excellent connectivity, so as long as you have a modern and powerful enough router for your home size & network device needs.I will mention, TP-Link is a Chinese company and has been known for poor security practices in some of their routers, as well as their smart devices pinging IP Addresses located in China for unknown reasons. Likely for analytics of your home network, along side their API, at best. That aside, I will continue to build my Tapo-Smart home, one device at a time!

    great smart switch
Got this similar switch as a follow-up install, and it’s been solid so far. The setup was straightforward and everything works as expected. My only hesitation in giving it 5 stars is that I haven’t had it long enough to test its long-term reliability. But for now, it’s done exactly what I needed.

A nice value pack and works as good as Kasa
I just moved to a new home, so I needed to replace light switches to smart ones. I had always used Kasa series, but since Tapo is priced better, I decided to make a switch. I can’t tell any difference between the two (if there is any). Installation is straight forward, even though I wish they had made it easier to tell load and line wires (they are both black, unlabeled, and originate from the same area). The manual shows which one is which though.

    Work well
These work pretty well. The app is fast at turning them on and off and the install is easy for a person who knows a bit about home wiring. One of the indicators under the switch is a slightly different color than the other switches. It doesn’t really matter just a small detail. The dimmer works pretty well but has some flicker with the cheaper puck led light that I have only when gradually changing the light level. Other than those little things I like the switches.

Ok, with some glitches when used with Alexa
Dimmer switches perform nicely but were a bit stubborn to get to work with Alexa. Linking Amazon account with TP link account was not well explained. Alexa sometimes is stubborn but works most of the time. Dimmer performs flawlessly when operated from TP link app.

  9. Veronica Meza Garcia
