Recommended. For the $$ it is a good smart thermostat with lots of features.
This is an easy to install and use wifi thermostat. As long as your system has a “c” wire it works very well. The only thing that is a bit of a draw back that I have noticed is it’s screen is bright at night (good if it wasn’t in the hall facing my bedroom. It literally almost illuminates the bedroom, a display dimming feature would be nice). The functions are as any thermostat would be. Fan on, fan auto, heat, cold, and range (thing that is troublesome with this feature is if you set the house to 68 at night and 71 during the day, once it gets to 68, if it dips below that it turns on the heater and vise versa. But I suppose it has to do that to keep the temp range. I usually just set the cool for sleeping and if needed heat for waking manually. Wifi is good, app is good, has some good features, like daily routines (wake up, one temp, leave for work, off, get home temp…). It does not have a motion sensor like fancy ring thermostat but this is about 1/2 the price of those. It has a separate room remote sensor (that was a little hard to set up and I don’t actually know if it is working) but if it is working, you take it with you to the room your in and the hvac will set the temp for that room so your comfortable. Not sure if it works or not.Overall: recommended, easy install, good functionality, easy to use, easy to learn, good bright display (maybe to bright at night for me), easy to use app.PS: this is sold as a Bluetooth thermostat. But I haven’t gotten any Bluetooth functionality out of it. Probably user error. Will read the manual again….

Not for me.
I can’t wait to have money to get a Nest or other proper thermostat. The remote sensor was disconnected from my thermostat by some anonymous user. The AC unit doesn’t stop for 5 min after changing the temperature. The buttons are sensitive and hard to see. Forget using it in the dark. The app logs you out after X amount of days.Don’t be tempted by the price or extra room sensor.Oh! There is a reversing switch on the back of the device itself to manually change depending on your wiring. That wasn’t listed in the manual at all.

Keeps the Bedroom temperature where I want it
I bought this because the thermostat is located in the hallway, which doesn’t correlate to the bedroom temperature when the door is closed. With the remote sensor the thermostat shows the temperature of the room, or wherever the remote sensor is placed. The thermostat was easy to install and wire up. I like all the adjustments I can make on the app. I’m also able to adjust the thermostat, no matter where I am, with the app. The display is nice and can be set to stay on all the time, or go off after a preset amount of time. Overall this thermostat to working well for me and addresses the issues I purchased it for.

Does Not Average Temperature
The reason I bought this thermostat was because it had a sensor. My basement gets freezing and my upstairs gets hot. It was supposed to average the temperature between the thermostat display and the sensor in the basement. But when you connect the sensor it only uses the temp from that and does not average. Kinda bummed about that. Will probably send back.

Not acually a smart thermasdat
This device has an app if you manage to get its buggy bluetooth to connect and it really does not wanna do that when you are at home it is possible to setup your timed program “scenes” useing this app. Its supposed to have wifi but that does not work at all.You cannot use it to remotely control the temperature in your house, you have to be at home for it to do anything. It does have the google and alexa integration it claims to have but all it can do is totally turn the thermostat off meaning your hvac system stops functioning or turn it back on. You can’t set the temperature, you can’t have it read the temperature or anything else at all.The interface in app in clunky and unintuitive when its willing to do anything at all and so is the control panel on the thermostat itself.EDIT: After fighting with it I was eventually able to get the wifi to connect and perform a firmware update, this greatly improved it’s stability with the app and I can now control it remotely using their app but alexa and Google integration are still just as useless

You need 5 wires from the furnace.
It’s a very nice design and the app works well. Please know you need 5 wires coming from your furnace. Make sure you can wire a “C” wire from the furnace if you only have 4 wires coming to your current thermostat. Older furnaces may not be compatible with this thermostat.

Don’t buy. Waste of money and time
Very hard to program. Still not sure about timing of temp settings, from sleeping temps to wake temps. Install was quick and painless. This thermostat has a mind of its own. I will be reinstalling my old one.
