EPIC Security Camera
Picked up the REOLINK Argus 4 Pro to keep an eye on my jet skis in their trailer in the public garage. Mounted it on a fiberglass pole and it’s held up great-semi-exposed to weather but no issues so far. Motion detection is spot-on-catches everything without false alerts, and I get instant notifications on my phone. Battery life is solid; it’s solar-powered, so it’s been running strong for weeks without needing a recharge. Connectivity is reliable-strong signal even in the garage-and setup was dead simple, took like 10 minutes. Night vision is excellent; I can see everything in crisp detail even with the garage lights out. It’s a very good value for the money and works exactly as it should. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a solid wireless cam for outdoor gear storage.

You will not be disappointed with this purchase.
I finally spent the money and got a decent IP Camera, within reason. I know that up in the $2000 range they really have some awesome devices. I would search the info and questions section for a camera before considering it to see if the video could be displayed on my PC without installing too much third party software. Watching surveilance video on a phone is inadequate for me. That was the deal breaker. This battery operated wifi camera, and the cheaper model with the smaller battery both seemed very competitive. I went with the Altas Ultra with the gigantic battery pack built in. Setup was easy and fast. I did have a problem with the devices protective film. I am so glad I didn’t call customer service because I would have looked dumb. The glass front of the camera had protective film that was obvious, and I pulled it off. Upon starting up the camera when the picture quality was fuzzy and horrible, I looked for a second piece over the lens, but nothing. After brainstorming, I decided there had to be another piece over the lens and took my fingernail and scraped the lens and there it was. I took this invisible lens cover off and Voila’ , all was perfect. The Reolink app is amazing, all controls are there and even more. The PC app , called Reolink Client, also works excellently. It includes all screen controls, plus PTZ .The picture quality was the best I have had for a while. I am very happy with this camera. The best part being the strap mounting system. It will go almost anywhere .I tried 5 of the other $30 – $80 range cameras and I was disappointed.I gave this camera 4 stars because I have seen the picture on a $2000 camera, and giving this 5 stars would not be right.

Built durable, should last a while.
This camera is heavy duty. Built to be durable. Easy to set up and install. Picture/video are clean and clear. Only issue I had was getting the solar panel in the right position to charge the camera.

REOLINK Altas PT Ultra Camera
Great little camera. I’ve had it for about a month now. The solar keeps the battery at 100% all the time. Never has dropped down. However, it’s been sunny since I got it. Time will tell in the winter months. I bought it to be a roaming camera so I could change it’s location. I have a mesh network system so I can put this camera anywhere around our home because I have full signal strength. It captures everything. Presently I have a 128Gb card installed but in the future I’ll install an NVR system when I get more cameras. For now I’m just experimenting but it works great with the color night vision.

Spotlights are not activated by motion detection, there is no SMART mode, only ON or OFF.
Unfortunately had to return the camera because, on the Reolink Atlas PT Ultra battery operated, the spotlights are not activated by motion detection. There are only two settings—OFF or ON.If setting is ON, at night, if there’s no surrounding light, the spotlights will turn on and stay on all night long. If there is some surrounding light, they might stay off.If setting is OFF, even when the PIR sensor detects movement, you can’t see anything; the ColorX is effectively blind.Setting the spotlight ON and having no surrounding light at all, not only drains the battery but also reveals the camera’s location. Too bad.

This is an exceptional solar security camera that can connect to the highly useful Home Hub. It offers a wide range of customizable features without requiring a subscription, and the accompanying app pairs seamlessly and is easy to navigate. The app and camera works well with a dedicated Alexa skill, allowing you to set up motion detection notifications for person detection that are sent to your Alexa-compatible devices, either through voice announcements or live feed views, depending on the device. The camera paired effortlessly with my Home Hub and the phone app, effectively filtering which videos are sent to the Hub and which are stored locally on the camera. I can access all recorded videos through the playback feature in the app, which typically includes motion without people, but whenever it detects a person, the video is saved to the Home Hub. I appreciate the ability to set up a Non-Detection Zone and adjust its settings for Person, Vehicle, Animal, and Others. The picture clarity is outstanding, even in low light conditions. The infrared imagery is clear and crisp, and the camera can be set to turn on its lights upon detecting motion, switching the recording to full color. It can also be set to follow movement. I can see every small detail, such as individual leaves, clearly regardless of the outdoor lighting. It also has smart detection features that can be adjusted individually—such as setting vehicle detection to low, animal detection to medium, and person detection to high—allowing for customization based on your specific needs and the location of your camera. The camera is sturdy, durable, and easy to install. I installed it myself using just a small handheld electric screwdriver and had no trouble mounting it on the wooden porch pillar, along with its solar panel. The solar function is impressive, and despite frequent notifications from deer and pedestrians, even on a cloudy day, I have never seen the battery percentage drop below 97%. These came with all the necessary hardware and multiple mounting options. The instructions were clear, concise, and easy to follow, and I had no issues at all. I have already recommended this brand and these specific cameras to friends and coworkers.

Incredible solar powered security camera. Purchased a proper high endurance SD card as is required for being out in the sun all day. Camera charges as well as the solar panel keeps it powered on PIR for almost a year. Works great so far and the app is easy to use.

I have 6 Reolink cameras around the property, but they are all wired, so adding the Atlas PT Ultra Solar camera gives me coverage where I don’t have any power. All the cameras, including this one, are connected to my Reolink Hub Pro and have been working flawlessly. This camera, and I think all the Reolink cameras, are dual band/WiFi 6, (at least the newer models), so I switched this one to connect on the 2.4 GHz since the 5Ghz isn’t as stable where I installed the camera, and it still has no problem recording to the hub. Detects and tracks instantly with dependable notifications. Image quality is amazing, and with the ColorX Night Vision, I can view/record in color without seeing everything in black and white like typical night vision. The other big feature is that, like with other Reolink wired cameras, it has continuous recording. I found many “solar” cameras only offer event recording to preserve battery life… I don’t recall if the battery size was mentioned in the specs, but this one’s battery is massive and has had no issues, even with a few continuous overcast days. I have the camera installed under the well shelter, which allows it to pan 360°, and the solar panel on top of the shelter.Overall, impressively designed, great quality build, image quality is superb, pan/tilt versatility, works with the Reolink hubs, and a great addition (or start) to a Reolink ecosystem.
