BEST Water Soluble Fertilizer on the Market for Home and Garden!
I was a manager of water soluble fertilizer marketing and production for 20 years and for many years with the world’s largest producer of specialty fertilizers. I am retired now, and my opinion here is given without any bias since I don’t even know who actually makes the product for Pennington. There are no trade secrets in the fertilizer business, but Pennington has created a unique and superior product in this formulation for home and garden use. Here is why:1) This formula contains NO dye. Why add something to your soil that is not a plant food?2) The product is milled to a powder and dissolves VERY FAST so very little waiting for large prills or crystals to go into solution like most products on the market.3) The addition of a SIGNIFICANT amount of magnesium to the product fills a gap in most plant food formulations for a very necessary secondary nutrient.4) The formula contains plenty of phosphorus for plant needs, but it is not in excess. Most competing formulas have excess phosphorus which leads to higher levels of runoff of phosphorus and possibly a buildup of excess in the soil and contrary to myth the extra phosphorus is not going to produce more blooms than this one.5) Key micronutrients in this formula are chelated which makes them more available to the plants.6) The nitrogen is a good balance of urea and nitrate, and the plants will respond with good growth, and it can be applied over the leaves when fertilizing for foliar feeding if the usual precautions are taken and you don’t overdo it.7) The wide mouth jar makes it easy to get a scoop of material, and you won’t get dye on your hands with this one.8) Excellent price for a professional product.Pennington has made similar water soluble fertilizers in the past, but this is their best yet. Very high quality! Just what I was looking for to use in my garden.

The fertilizer is rather potent so a little goes a long way. Since it was on sale I bought 3 and have already given 1 away, but might keep both of those that remain as it mixes well and my plants modest needs will be met for years to come with 2 containers. It is supplied with a handy scoop so that eliminates the need for “eyeballing” the amount, and the scoop/measuring device is of high enough quantity to easily go for the many uses it is certain to get.The only thing another person might quibble about is the lack of a protective layer under the cap, but since that has all occurred since the heinous Tylenol incident, and I regularly shop at the local feed store where no such safeguards are typically used, it matters not to me.All 3 of mine arrived with the lids snug enough to eliminate the dreaded fertilizer-dust-in-the-packaging issue, and I imagine the vast majority of buyers will experience a similar experience.It doesn’t impart the blue to the water that the old Miracle Gro did, so the plants complained until it hit the roots. After that: silence. Buy this.

I agree with every other reviewr- this fertilizer qas a god send earlier this year, 2025. I ended ip using to much as it was my first time measuring out my own fertilizer. But I had Ghost Peppers, Jalepeno peppers, Tabasco peppers, Cherry tomatoes, big boy tomatoes, better boy tomatoes, husky cherry tomatoes. I had SO MANY HOT PEPPERS IT GOT RIDICULOUS……THREW OUT 4 POUNDS OF HARVEST THIS SUMMER DUE TO THEM PILING UP FAST! This is an awesome fertilizer. I did NOT want to use mira- cripple your soil-gro
