Best ever!
These are the best scrub-sponges I’ve ever used. They last for a long time, are very, very absorbent, and the scrubber part scrubs well and still scrubs well when the other side is at past its sell-by date. And it’s biodegradable too!

Better than popular ones
My previous sponge was a cheap one that didn’t even have the rough part. I wanted to upgrade and do better for the environment– I went with these after comparing all of the natural sponges. The packaging was really nice and it comes with so many. I’ve been using one for about a month now. The rough part has never separated from the soft section. I do see an improvement with smell too, but I wouldn’t say it doesn’t have a scent. It cleans so well. The only thing is I have used it to clean blades for a blender and that’s caused chunks to fall off, but since the pack comes with so many, I’m not concerned having to filter through sponges monthly.

Favorite new, earth-friendly sponge!
I am so impressed with these sponges! I was looking for a 100% biodegradable sponge that I wouldn’t feel guilty throwing away once it was used up and falling apart. Most sponges out there have plastic in them and stay in landfills forever, so as my family and I are making an effort to reduce our footprint we have been slowly replacing household items with those that are earth-friendly. That being said, sometimes “earth-friendly” unfortunately means it doesn’t work as well as its plastic counterpart… but THESE. These sponges are amazing! They somehow last longer than the plastic ones I was using (like, way longer), and do an amazing job at removing debris off dishes and scrubbing pans. They are verrry stiff at first, something to keep in mind… but after one or two uses they soften up a little. Try them!!

Just What I Need
I have used these for years at my kitchen sink. I change it every two weeks and they hold up well. They are biodegradable. The natural palm fiber does a great job with scrubbing off most stains.

I love the fact that these are all natural and made out of plant material. I live a very healthy lifestyle and these are great if you are doing the same. Normal sponges can have all kinds of chemicals in them. Each sponge lasts about three weeks and the scrubbing capability is great. Definitely worth the money and I highly recommend these for anybody that’s searching for a good, all natural sponge.

Decent for a bio sponge
Pros: Biodegradable, no plastic. No smell, partially because it does not last as long as a normal sponge. Does not scratch delicate surfaces.Not only prevents plastic in landfills, but plastic particles on your dishes. No smell when new. After using for about 2 weeks, I did not notice any gross smells. I can scrub aggressively without scratching anything, but it still cleans well.Cons: Non-abrasive so won’t clean the really baked on stuff. Falls apart after short use.After 4 days of use, it’s almost ready to throw away. The white side is completely falling apart, and the palm scrub side is almost gone.To be fair, we have 5 people and cook a lot. Tons of dishes.For cost comparison, it would run about $100/yr for these, and perhaps $20/yr for traditional sponges.Thinking about sustainability, if I have to buy 5x more sponges, manufacturing, shipping, palm tree usage, etc…. is it really helping?

Great value, good performance, longevity
These came as 2 sets wrapped In brown paper. Open package and took one sponge, slight smell that disappeared after a quick rinse. Used for about a month, microwaved every few days to kill possible bacteria, ran through dishwasher to test durability. Used on every thing from wine glasses, to sharp knives and scrubbing pans and stove grill, held up well, scrub side probably started framing about week 3. Tossed yesterday after about 5 weeks of use, should have taken photo.I would reorder these again.

Edit: it’s been months since we tried these as our first batch of plastic free sponges. Initially I gave it 3 stars bc it didn’t last very long but after trying other ‘all natural’ sponges, it became clear that these actually were great for all natural. Can’t expect them to hold up as well as plastic but it truly doesn’t smell the same way plastic does and it has the perfect bendable texture and flexibility that I really liked more than the other competition. I’m so glad they’re still selling these ! Other natural brands I’ve seen have a plastic scrubber but natural sponge, so that’s a hybrid, this is all natural and so far the winner!!

Easy to use, washes well, lasts long

They do the job but the scouring pad peels off the sponge within a few days of use. I keep on using it for a few more days by manually holding both one on top of the other while washing but it’s inconvenient. The problem is the adhesive that’s used to bond the pad to the sponge: by being biodegradable, it also dissolves in hot water. The layers would have to be sewn together with a natural fibre like hemp to make the pads durable while still being compostable.Now I notice that the price has gone up to a ridiculous amount since I purchased a pack (there’s so much price gouging on Amazon..). This and their poor durability makes them not worth buying IMO. There are other options so my advice is: shop around.

You get what you pay for. The scour gets worn down in a week. Looks like I used it for 3 weeks.
