Get beautiful, colorful results with this mixture of forest products, sphagnum peat moss, sand, and perlite. To use, start with a pot with a drain hole and fill 1/3 full with soil. Place the root ball of your plant in the soil and add more mix. Press lightly; water the plant and let drain. Let the soil dry to the touch between waterings. Good quality soil for a good price
This soil is always great, its nice and course without having those big chunks some succulent soils do so it’s perfect for smaller plants as well as big ones. My plants grow well with it

    Black gold
I’m always looking for cactus dirt. They seem to sell out around the holidays. This is a great product and it comes with 2 bags for the price. The dirt seems fresh and so far no pesky bugs !

  3. D Day

    Love it.
I have used this potting soil for my aloe, cactus and palms for years. It is perfect for this use. The plants love it!

Faster draining soil! Works great on palm trees!
Just what I needed for my palm tree! Faster draining soil like what the package says! Drains through to the bottom of planter pot, so that the roots will not suffer from root rot!

Affordable and versatile, but inconsistent quality
The quality isn’t the most premium, but the price is hard to beat, which keeps me coming back to it. I like mixing this soil with sand or stones when potting succulents or cacti, and it also works well on its own when combined with pumice for indoor plants.I’ve been purchasing this for years, and while it’s generally usable, the quality can be inconsistent. Sometimes the mix contains too much sand, and other times the soil feels overly damp and even has a bit of a mildew smell when opened.Despite the inconsistency, it gets the job done for everyday potting, especially when blended with other amendments. Overall, a practical option for the price point.

    Good soil
I just got my delivery today, it’s great for palm plants and succulents. Great quality easy to use.

Reliable mix for healthy succulents and container plants
5/5. I used this mix for repotting succulents, a dwarf palm, and a small indoor lemon tree. The soil is light, drains well, and does not compact quickly, which helps prevent root rot. I noticed new root growth within a few weeks, and the plants look healthier compared to when I used standard potting soil.Other positives:Consistent texture with no large wood chunksHolds moisture without staying soggyMinimal odor, clean enough for indoor useGood value in the 2-pack (enough for multiple medium pots)One note: it dries out a little faster than regular potting soil, so watering frequency needs to be adjusted — exactly what cactus and citrus prefer.Overall, a dependable mix that lives up to its label and supports strong growth for specialized plants.

    TRUE THANKSGIVING CACTUS
I bought this soil for my 91 year old neighbor in March ’24 so we could transplant some root-bound Christmas Cactus. She loves to see them flower. The 5 roots we planted in 1 pot were so thin & pliable, we didn’t think they’d flower. She put this young Cactus outside in ’25 from July thru October 20. Then started feeding it with MG Cactus food weekly. I told her only to water when the soil was fairly dry, but I have no clue how often she did, as her husband watered it too. She got her first blossom on Nov 4, 2025, & plenty more since (now November 10).
