Awesome and Tough Plant
I’m relatively new to houseplants. I bought this prayer plant on impulse, though with guilt, knowing I’d kill it for sure. I ordered it last winter and it traveled from California to Missouri via usps through blizzards. It was late arriving to me, and I was shocked that it looked so healthy when I opened the box. The plant was carefully packed, intact and the soil still moist.My cats showed very little interest in it, until the following morning while I was outside doing my chores. My kitty Pete then knocked it off the counter, depotted it, and ate half of it. He had no ill affects, so it is indeed nontoxic! I repotted the poor plant leftovers and crossed my fingers.Today it’s a big, beautiful, thriving plant! I absolutely love it. It’s a tough plant with movement and personality. I plan on ordering more prayer plants in the future, because I’m hooked.

Beautiful plant. It came wrapped and in perfect shape. I had NEVER bought a live plant on this site and was not sure how it would look but I was impressed. The color wasn’t the one that I had in mind but I am not disappointed. I even propogated one of the leaves that had sort of fallen off in delivery and again not disappointed. It’s doing great. I think I might repot it now that it has gotten used to its space.

I Crossed Another Dream Plant Off My List
I waited to do this review because my plant was stressed when I received it. I would definitely buy a few more if they can get them shipped faster. I just love her lime green contrast against the dark green. Calatheas are my absolute favorites!!Pros:• plant was relatively healthy and absolutely beautiful• she was bigger than I thought• no pests, soil was healthyCons:• shipping took a week (way too long)• because the shipping takes so long they soaked the soil to keep the plant alive, but unfortunately it caused some of her leaves to brown (first 2 photos).I repotted her in dryer soil, stuck a moisture meter inside, and grouped her with my other humidity tolerant plants.It’s been about a month and I’m happy to say she’s thriving, has new babies, and all of her rolled leaves have opened.I’m waiting to prune the brown tipped leaves. They haven’t gotten worse so it’s not urgent (it just makes me sad). She’s also growing wide and hogging the space right now (3rd photo). Her sister is a Jungle Velvet and I can’t wait to see them dance together once my collection is complete.
