Beautiful design and excellent quality – perfect for LECA and semi-hydro
I needed a large self-watering pot for my split-leaf philodendron, and this D’vine Dev 10 Inch planter was exactly what I was looking for. The design, with the glazed blue terracotta pot and cylinder glass water reservoir, really appealed to me – it’s both functional and attractive.I’m converting most of my plants to LECA, and this pot is perfect for a semi-hydroponic system. The glass reservoir makes it easy to see the water and nutrient solution level at a glance, which takes the guesswork out of maintaining the right level for LECA growing.I repotted my plant yesterday and was impressed by how well-made this planter is. The construction is solid and thoughtfully designed. The terracotta pot is beautifully glazed and the quality shows in every detail. The 10-inch size is perfect for larger indoor plants, and the self-watering design works beautifully whether you’re using traditional soil or LECA. The blue color is gorgeous and adds a nice decorative element to my plant corner.I give this 5 stars. For anyone looking for a high-quality, attractive self-watering planter – especially if you’re using LECA or semi-hydroponic systems – this is an excellent choice!

    Quality and Function
Well made, attractive planter. Self watering feature is perfect for the venus flytrap and other carnivorous plants that need bog-like conditions.

    Self watering pot? It works
I think I have a black thumb. I never remember when to water plants. This is a great system that solves the problem. It works by osmosis. There are no tubes or pipes to connect. A glass container holds the ceramic pot. The bottom of the pot isn’t finished and there is no drainage hole in the pot. You just put some water in the glass container, add your pot and voila–it just works. The brilliant part of this system is that you can see when the water level is low. The package includes a soft sponge to clean the glass, but I think you can use any non-abrasive sponge. It looks beautiful and my plant is thriving.

    Cute and works impressively well
I was skeptical of how absorbent the unglazed part would be, but boy an I impressed. When I transplanted, the soil was pretty wet, more like a typical plant because I was forced to water from the top. The soil I used to fill the new pot was from the garden and extremely dry. When I filled the water, it was about half full with the pot in place. By the next day, about 30-40% had been soaked up. Makes sense since the soil in contact with the pot was dry enough to be blown away. It’s been a week now and the rate has slowed, as you’d expect when the soil is wet enough. This is simple and pretty much idiot proof. Just keep water in the pot and the rest will take care of itself.Update: A month in and my flowers are very happy. To top of the soil looks hydrated too, which surprises me, that’s a long way up from the absorbent part. I don’t think that supposed to be ideal for African Violets, but my flowers aren’t complaining, they still look very healthy. If they take a turn for the worse I’ll do another update. Nothing after this means all is well.

    Fragile but good
Really cute little pot for my plant cuttings to grow in. Fell off a 2 foot table onto carpet and broke, sadly.

    Perfect self-watering pot
This is by far my favorite self watering pot. It is great quality, easy to clean, and works like a dream. I travel a lot, and have some beautiful, delicate herbs that need watering. I use this bad boy for them, and its increase the growth of my plants faster than when I watered them directly. The plant has all control of it’s water. This one is on the smaller size, please read the measurements, but it was what i was looking for. Great quality for a terracotta and glass pot. Also great for germination.

great for plans that love damp feet!
These are so great for plants who hate drying out! The pot (terra cotta and glass both) were well packed. These are a little expensive but so worth it. Nice design, I love terra cotta and the glass is a nice quality, not too thin. I have these in different sizes and love them.

    Would definitely buy again!
Super cute setup and looks gorgeous on display! Easy to use and I love being able to see how much water is in it.

  9. Jenner

Better than I thought since it absorbs it through the pot itself leaving no holes. fill it half way and let it absorbs the water. Expensive but totally worth it since I can see how much water is left and due to the glass, even when there is almost no water in it the evaporating water is absorbed into the planter too.
