Great Grilling Set
These are very, very large and hefty.Well-made and sturdy.The ‘flipper’ has a few serrated areas, which will prove more than helpful (I manage to burn stuff to the grill….), and the tongs have very large ‘palms’ which can grasp just about anything you’d put on the grill. All the tools have comfortable, thick grips (silicon?) and are well-constructed. Nothing flimsy here.The mitt is cloth on one side and a slick heat-resistant material on the other. Full confession: I haven’t tried it out on a hot handle, but I suspect the palm side is silicon. The mitt is large and would fit anybody’s hand.I would purchase another set of these if I needed them. Very attractive, very functional.

UPDATE 6/25/12: Have been using these since I got them, and they are of good quality. They feel good in the hand, the plastic stops them from getting hot, and they do the job very well indeed. I would not hesitate to recommend these to someone looking for a relatively inexpensive and reasonably good grill kit.NOTE: I just got these, and have not used them yet. I will update my review as time goes on.I was very excited to receive this grill kit, as it was very well reviewed and included the pieces I cared about at a reasonable price. My excitement waned suddenly, however, when the plating on the side of the tongs handle fell off while unwrapping. This exposed the fact that the metal of the tongs only extended a little while into the plastic housing and the middle of the handle was plastic only. At the bottom another metal stub extended out into the looping part of the tongs.This type of construction made me feel like this set was much less quality than I had anticipated. I will see how they function on the grill. I worked to firmly re-attach the plating to the side of the tongs. I will say that they felt sturdy, as did the fork and spatula.

Good value but the tongs suck
I bought this exclusively for the tongs as the price was very fair and the figured I could use the spatula too. The oven mitt thing is ok but small. The fork and spatula are fine. But man those tongs really suck. They are over-sized, but only on the handle end, so you have to choke way up on it to control them – which puts you closer to the grill than I’d prefer. The design of the grabber end is miserable – they will not hold onto a raw chicken breast. If you need tongs specifically, look elsewhere!
