4MP HD & True Color Night Vision- The security Camera Hub G5 Pro offers a 4MP Resolution with a 133° FOV and supports True Color Night Vision with a 1/1.8″ sensor and f/1.0 large aperture, identifying intruders even in low-light. A Built-in 3000K DIMMABLE Spotlight functions as an intruder deterrent and improves visibility during nighttime Note: This surveillance camera is not equipped with infrared light. No Battery.
Local AI Visual & Abnormal Sound Detection- Thanks to the powerful built-in Neural Processing Unit (NPU), outdoor Camera Hub G5 Pro supports 7 types of visual detection and 4 types of abnormal sound detection. For visual detection, G5 Pro can recognize faces, individual vehicles, animals, perople, and can distinguish if they are lingering. It also supports Lens Obstruction Detection and Package Detection. For abnormal sound detection, this camera for home security can detect babies crying, alarm sounds, barking and coughing. This feature enables you to record key events and trigger automations even during an internet outage.
Hub & Matter Bridge- Wifi camera G5 Pro acts as a hub with both Aqara Zigbee (Not third-party Zigbee devices) and Thread dual protocols, it can connect up to 80 Aqara Zigbee Sub-devices or 40 thread sub-devices, or 20 Aqara Zigbee Sub-devices and 20 Thread sub-devices. This wifi security camera integrates third-party matter devices into the Aqara Home app and exposes existing Aqara devices to Matter-compatible platforms like Apple Home, Alexa, and Google Home. *Compatibility depends on device type, ecosystem support, and the presence of a Matter Controller.
HomeKit Secure Video & Multiple Storage Methods- The home security camera G5 Pro supports HomeKit Secure Video (an active iCloud subscription and an Apple Home hub is required), features a built-in encrypted 8GB eMMC storage and supports Aqara Cloud, and RTSP with full End-to-End encryption for protection, G5 data is accessible by only you or your family. Note: 24/7 record is only supported with RTSP and store in your Local devices.
DUAL-BAND WI-FI- The outdoor security camera G5 Pro Wi-Fi incorporates a dual-band 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi module, which provides the flexibility to choose 2.4GHz for extended coverage, or 5GHz for the faster data transfer. In addition, it is compatible with the WPA3 standard for maximum security. For power, the home Camera G5 Pro Wi-Fi uses a 5V2A USB-C port for increased flexibility. Zigbee2MQTT and comparable third-party USB dongles are not officially supported by Aqara. Full product functionality may be limited or unavailable.

Aqara just works reliably in Apple HomeKit
I have every camera known to work in the Apple HomeKit environment. I must say that these Aqara cameras, all models including this one, are rarely offline in HomeKit. Eufy, Logitech, Omna, Arlo, etc are offline constantly.Set it to automatic and the “fluent” setting kicks in and keeps your camera online. The picture remains perfectly clear and kicks it down a notch instead of it going offline completely. Other cameras just go offline.Yes you’ll need a hub but even their smart plugs have a built in hub. I use their pan scan cameras indoors and they track my ratties so I know when they’re being bad. They either sync up directly into the HomeKit environment seamlessly or you can go through aqara’s app and it’ll put it in your home environment with a flick of a switch.I opt to go into the app first as it has additional functions that you set up and they run in your apples home environment.Like calibration, animal detection, zero return set, etc.One camera liked to return home in an area that was redundant. I had as able to adjust where the lens returns to home in an area I need camera coverage. Of course if a dog or person walks by, it tracks your movements and sends a notification to your phone if you choose.I very happy with all Aqara products and most impressed with their outdoor security camera. So cool it connected right into the Aqara app then I sent it to Apple home through the Aqara portal.I can highly recommend ALL Aqara products including my new outdoor camera. Their products just work. And I have over 50 smart devices controlled by Apple home with Aqara leading the pack for reliability.Even native Nanoleaf products don’t compare and they’re exclusively made for the apple environment.

Super high-quality image, especially in low light.
This is a surprisingly high quality and reliable camera. Value for money is tremendous and this is the best image quality I have seen compared to several other security cameras from Ring, Logitech, Eufy, etc. low light performance is exceptional, showing a color image. Several times I have gone out to my garage to turn off the lights, thinking they were on, however it was completely dark on there, with just the ceiling night-light and Tesla charger LEDs – the camera made it look fully bright! (Picture)Responsiveness to faces and motion is instant and reliable, and the audio is great. Looking forward to more of these for the house.

    Mixed feelings
First off, the camera performs very well. Color images even in darkness is really exceptional. Fully impressed with the electronics.Unimpressed that I have to figure out a robust mount and power supply. The usb plug on the back seems doomed to early failure in a wet and sometimes frozen outdoor space. In this regard, it seems more like an indoor toy and not an outdoor security solution.I moved away from Ring because I am trying to step away from cloud subscription services. Feeling some remorse as the outdoor Ring products I have been decommissioning have indeed been able to withstand the elements with waterproof connectors and mounts that have some heft.

    Great Cams – Easy Install!
I bought six of these for our birds hutches. They are very impressive cameras. We had some trouble pairing with the Aquara app, and need to contact support to fix the binding on two of them. Regardless, they all show in Apple Home and work great! We really love the ability to turn on a low level of light to check the chicks in the brooder.

Amazing feature packed outdoor camera for HomeKit
Absolutely amazing device. I am glad I waited for this instead of getting a different brand. Very heavy duty and the incredibly bright spotlight was a pleasant surprise. I had to use a different mount because the tiny screws wouldn’t work for my vinyl siding and I ended up getting a longer power cable, but those are my only two complaints. Onboarding in the Aqara app was seamless and then I connected it to HomeKit and it joined my existing Thread network, then enabled the Matter connection so that the bridge would expose any future devices that I add to it. NAS setup was a breeze and has some great features that let me control how long the videos are stored for on a rolling basis. Onboard local storage is possible but there’s not a lot of storage space and no Sd card slot. Video quality is amazing and this is the best night vision I have seen. I will definitely be adding another one of these very soon. Wish I had the option to setup POE but the WiFi connection is strong and stable.

Camera is incredible, a little on the large side but works so well. This camera is fast and connects quicker than any other HomeKit secure video cameras I have (I have five from other manufacturers). App is also great with lots of other features available. I am using through Apple home and have no issues or disconnects, solid camera.
