Great Product, Easy to install and set up!
Wow, what a great product!! Got the 2-pack of 3-way smart switches from Treatlife. Installed the first at the end of a 3-way light circuit. Was a little worried whether it would work on the load side of the 3-way, rather than the hot line side, but it worked just as advertised. the nice thing with this switch versus others, is you just need to replace the one switch in the 3-way, and leave the “analog” switch in the other end. Some other brands require replacing the other end of the 3-way as well. After installation, either the existing analog switch, the new smart switch, or the SmartLife app or Alexa can be used to switch, regardless of the position/setting of the other switch or app. The included instructions and video are great for installation. As others have mentioned, the socket box gets a little tight with wires, but can easily fit. I installed one in a 3-gang box and one in a 2-gang box. One was for a 3-way circuit and one was just for a single pole circuit. Works great for both. If you’re doing just single-pole circuits, then just buy the single pole switches. I needed at least one 3-way, so I bought the two-pack of 3-way switches. Using the 3-way switch for a single-pole circuit, you just cap off one of the traveller wires on the switch, and connect the black switch line/load wire to the circuit line wire and the remaining red traveller wire from the switch to the circuit load wire. The initial set-up with the SmartLife app was easy. There are two ways to connect and initialize the switch. With our wifi router, I found that it wouldn’t initialize with the first method; but the second method, where the phone app communicates directly with the switch, worked perfectly. Just follow the SmartLife instructions. Once initialized, the SmartLife app works great for controlling the switch, or setting up a schedule, or timer, etc. It Also was easy to connect it to Alexa and use our Alexa Dot or the Alexa App to control the switch.

Great 3-way switch that is easy to set up.
About 3 months ago I decided to give the Treatlife brand a try. I purchased some of the 3-way switches, their standard switches, and some dimmable switches. I installed them all on my main floor of the house. So far they are still working great and have helped with the updated look in our home that we were going for.The installation was easy and they help you out by providing detailed instructions and labels for your wires so you don’t get them mixed up.Once installed the setup on the Smart Life app took only a few minutes and the Alexa integration was just as easy. The only complaint that I have is all the different types of switches (standard, 3-way, & dimmable) all look different. Even though they are different, having a combination of them together still looks okay. From what I have seen from other brands this is a normal thing. One of the reasons for choosing this brand is because even though they are different they all work together well.Another deciding factor was I only needed one of the 3-way switches to install, the other switch could be a cheap non-wifi standard switch. Other brands made you buy two wifi switches to make it work. The top three reasons for purchasing are:1. Price2. Modern look3. Integration with AlexaFor the more advanced home automation person (which I’m not), it is hard to get these paired with a platform like SmartThings. Treatlife doesn’t advertise they have integration so I’m not faulting them for that. Treatlife does support IFTTT but because there are multiple systems in play, they don’t stay in sync. If you are trying to have one system to rule all your different devices, there will be some frustration.

Purchased by mistake.
So I am an avid home automation fan. I have geofencing for when I leave and come home. I have Alexa routines, Ifttt, mostly wemo switches. Home Servers for automation of my home theater… lots of stuff. I was buying a new set of Wemo switches for a lighting kit for my wife’s Christmas present. I saw what I thought was the Wemo 3-way switch on sale for 27 bucks. I couldn’t pass it up so I bought three of them, the 3 way switches in my house are the only things not automated. With some sort of either voice control or setup. When they arrived I noticed the packaging was different, but I didn’t think about it, it was a project for the weekend. It wasn’t until The following Sunday that I even noticed. Okay this speaks volumes to the level of my distraction. I decided I would install them anyhow and give it a try. At least one of them. I would leave it to judgement for later if it was a good idea. I had about 15 min before my wife and I were headed to the gym. So I thought okay I will start the install and get it done when we get back. The physical install was a normal process took me about 10 min. I was going to leave it because at this point, it had power. The switch was working and the secondary switch worked too. I have done about 15 of these things so I am quick on the in install part wiring is no big deal. Not That I needed the diagrams but the little guide that came with it is very informative. I have done a lot of electrical work in my life so replacing a switch in the wall is short work. The part that normally takes the longest with these is the setup.Still waiting on the wife I downloaded the application. Signed up (extremely fast process), and thought okay let’s see if I can get this done before we leave. Wife coming down the stairs and down. I think the whole process took 1 min. Had to put the device in the correct mode by holding down the button for a few seconds. Apparently the time it took for the application log load and me to get setup the paring setup timed out. I have done 10 of these type devices in one day taking the better part of the day to just trying to get them on my wifi. Later that same day I installed the other two 3 way switches and a Wemo Single switch. It took three times longer to get the wemo setup.I setup the new switches in my new routines and they are working great. As soon as the devices are on my network and registered with the application Alex is aware of them. I had to rename one of the 3 way and the one Wemo I installed. The treat life switch not only renamed properly but Alexa was immediately notified of the new name and immediately worked with voice control. The Wemo took 3 hours to work properly with my name change. As well as two discovery cycles.I am no stranger to complexity. It takes three jump points to get some of my automation done the way I want to use it. My family appreciates it and I know my Electric bill reflects the difference in the fact that kids that don’t know how to turn anything off so the automation does it.I will definitely be getting more of the Treatlife devices going forward. The Price point is good, the install is simple and the function is the same as higher priced products in the same class. When I get home tonight I will include Video of the new switches working with my Alexa.

Works, easy install, easy programming
Work as expected, easy to program, but programming may need an alternate phone or device. I’ve found that my Samsung Fold 7 won’t program these for some reason, but using a Samsung tablet, works perfectly.
