Fantastic ambiance for the yard or home.
I am obsessed with outdoor lighting so I was looking for some fun, cute new items for the yard. I purchased these 3 years ago and have since ordered 2 more sets for a total of 6 Lanterns. I could not be more happy with these. When they arrived I was skeptical because they are solar and I’ve not had good luck with most solar lights. From the first day I was thrilled with the performance. They are really durable and have held up in great condition for 3 years. I even leave them out in the winter. I have changed the solar batteries in a couple of them. They stay on well into the night and make a great ambiance for the yard. Great purchase.

I love these solar lanterns. They worked right out of the box and are very bright. They look like metal lanterns from a distance and the flickering lights look like real candles.

You get two beautiful solar lanterns for setting the mood. Candlelight is realistic and lasts all night. The antique brass tone and the substantial size and weight give them an expensive look that are well worth the price.

These solar lanterns were just as I expected. While not metal, they look great, and performed just as well. I ended upPurchasing more based on the performance as well as the ambiance they provided.

Nice effect in a cheap tin housing.
I have these hanging from a couple of deck railing bird feeder hangers. They look pretty nice at night, though I may move them. They come on reliably at dusk, and are off when I get up at dawn. My chief comment, however, is that these things are made of the thinnest tin housing ever. Their lightweight-ness is why I may move them to more secure location/hanging method. During our recent windy thunderstorm events, I fully expected to look out and see them gone. So far, that’s not happened. If I find more robustly-built lanterns like this I will buy them, but for now these are okay. The light output is more of a soft orangeish glow, and the flickering is kind of semi-realistic. Definitely more of an accent light than anything else.EDIT/UPDATE: These have been terrific! The housing has held up wonderfully, and they have just been through a decent batch of winter. The only time they’ve failed to light is when I neglected to remove the snow from the tops (where the solar panel is). Due to their lightweight housing (and the fact that they’re dangling from deck railing-mounted bird feeder hangers), I took them down for a night and a day when gale force winds arrived. The emitted light is not bright. As others have commented, it’s more of a soft glow. The flickering is quite nice, and they don’t seem to attract many bugs. BOTTOM LINE: I’m about to order another pair!

This is my correction to my previous evaluation. I gave this item 5stars for appearance and price.Since then we had rain and the lanterns flooded up inside, had to drain them manually. not a good product for outdoors
