These sponges are advertised as small. And out of the bag they initially look small. But the instructions call to soak them to rehydrate. They expand beautifully and are much larger than expected. If displayed in an art supply store in their expanded form you would expect to pay double.

Much smaller than I was expecting
A bit pricey for the sizes of the sponges. It’s been a long time since I’ve purchased any of these. I used to be able to get them super cheap and much bigger. No idea why these are no longer cheap but this is the best deal I could find. Just don’t expect the sponges to be very big.

Purchased to use for artist painting and they are great! Each has a different pattern, making them useful for many different elements in a painting. And their sizes are just right and fit in the hand well to increase control of the work.

Wow—amazing
These sea sponges are amazing. They are definitely natural. They come packed very flat and small. Don’t panic. Rinse under running water and they will start expanding. Then soak in a container of water and just watch them grow more. Well worth the price. Made in the UK. I’ll use them with watercolors for texture. If using with acrylics, definitely rinse right after using because acrylics dry fast. Sponges are reusable for long time if cared for properly. I’d highly recommend them and such great quality for a very reasonable price point. Clear instructions are on the packaging. Have fun.

A voir avec l utilisation mais ce sont des morceaux d éponge, je ne m attendais pas a ca. J espère que une fois utilisées elles ne partiront pas en miette au lavage parce que au prix ou elles sont et la finesses des éponges j ai peur…

The sponges needed to be soaked and rinsed lots of times to remove residue and expand. Expand they did!! There’s enough variation of texture to create different effects. Used in acrylic painting.?
