Flexible lights but a bit short for some applications
We enjoy growing herbs year round, but here in the northern Midwest the sun gets rather low in the sky in the fall and winter so even our southern windows don’t offer enough light for them to thrive year round. We’re hoping these supplement the limited natural light available. I like how these are USB-A powered (it comes with a 110v plug if necessary but we plug it in to a power block with other adapters), and the spring loaded clip provides a quick and easy solution for mounting. The 4 light arms are very flexible and allow you to easily adjust the position and direction of each of the lights independently. They just fit the 4 window shelves we have but I do wish they were a few inches longer so we could better utilize them.The Red & Blue lighting is a bit strange to see. On sunny days they are barely noticeable but when the sun sets it does kind of resemble a haunted house! The flexibility of automatically turning them on for a set number of hours each day is nice, and they turn themselves on for the same timing each day. You can turn them off if you’d like but you’ll need to restart their timer the next day if you do so. You cannot individually control each of the 4 lights, so they will all have the same Red/Blue setting and all are on or off simultaneously (i.e. You cannot use just 2 of the 4 lights at a time nor have some in grow vs germinate mode).It’s too soon to tell if they provide the additional light necessary for our herbs to thrive but so far they are doing fine since having to come in the house due to the cold weather.

I got these grow lights for a few indoor plants that were struggling, especially one that had been left out in the cold and looked pretty much gone. After a couple of weeks under these lights, it actually sprouted new growth. I didn’t expect that, so that alone made this worth it.The four light bars give good coverage, and the flexible goosenecks make it easy to move and aim the light exactly where I need it. The clamp is strong enough to stay put, and the timer options (3, 9, 12 hours) make it basically hands-off. I just set it once and forget about it. The brightness levels are nice too ten settings is more than enough to match what each plant needs.Overall, great for anyone overwintering plants indoors or starting seedlings. Simple to use, bright, value for money and it actually helped revive a plant I thought I lost.

So much easier than the overhead light
This is great! I am loving that I don’t have to set up the overhead light for my plants that come in for winter. This was easy to use straight out of the box. It’s been easy to turn on and adjust lights/time as needed. The size is good for plants that are 12″ or shorter – which most of mine are. If you need more height, you can clamp this onto something and have them hover. I looked at the photo and mistakenly assumed that this could rest on a tabletop, but it does need to clamp to something.I am really happy with this.My ratings scale:1 star = WHY? It’s just wrong and I would never buy again.2 stars = I would not buy this again, but something about it was right.3 stars = Doesn’t work for me, but it might for you – really read the review.4 stars = Close, but something doesn’t work/wasn’t as stated5 stars = Exactly what I ordered and is as it was listed.
