It’s not horrible but it’s also not super great.
It’s really bulky. Easy enough to assemble to a desk but you have to get the clamps just right so that it doesn’t need to be propped up by a wall to keep it stable. It does poke out a bit from the back side so your desk cannot lay flush against the wall if that’s what you’re looking for.

A+ Product – Wish I had bought sooner
I absolutely love this thing. I am a surfaces person, you know what I mean, I like to fill every available surface up until there is no more free space. Once we reach that critical threshold, then what? How do we solve this? We get more surfaces. This clever product gave me 2 more surfaces to fill. Yay me!The wood itself, looks cool, it’s got an antique sort of vibe and it certainly looks the part. The metal support braces are also modern looking and after assembly the full package looks quite luxurious. It feels like it should cost more, so for that reason, I think it’s an excellent value. It’s one of those items that immediately improve your space and you wish you had bought a long time ago.Assembly is super fast and straight forward, and it comes with all the tools. Though I swapped for a power drill about 10 minutes in to speed things up…swapping back to manual tools for a final tightening so as not to strip out the wood.Pro-Tip: remove all the little stickers before assembly, they will end up getting pinched in between the various layers and will become a headache to remove after, lesson learned.

Versatile item to add to desks or storage furniture
This is a great way to add some storage area in a situation where you don’t want to damage the walls but want to go a bit vertical off of a desk or other kind of storage furniture. I’m using it in a classroom and I particularly like the fact that they aren’t large, because I have many places where I would like to add a bit more capacity but already have furniture in place. They have held everything I put on them well, including ceramic pieces that have some weight to them.
