For those that don’t know, under the mounting plate (it unscrews from the base), you’ll find a code. You can use that code instead of the QR code that came on the original box since this refurbished unit doesn’t come with a box. When the app (it’s the Google Home app) tells you to scan the QR code, there is an option to manually enter a code.

Camera helped a lot in keeping tabs on my mom. Videos were very clear. Loved that it notified me when someone entered her room.

The daytime image quality is good. No nighttime vision, so the color is gray. It doesn’t have a great range of motion, and you’re limited on the view. We purchased several “renewed” cameras that look and work like they are brand new. The cameras are easy to set up. We purchased the plan, for $150 annually, so it records and stores detections 24/7. Notifications are sent to my phone if motion, sound, or a person is detected when I’m not at my shop. Out of the other brand competitors, Google had the best price for the camera and subscriptions.
