Enjoy extensive control of permanently installed lights, fans and other fixtures when paired with a compatible gateway. For further convenience, the smart dimmer connects directly to the latest Alexa products, including Echo Studio and Echo Show 10 as well as first- and second-generation Echo Plus, for voice commands. Voice control and remote operation using additional devices is also available through Zigbee-compatible hubs.
EASY VOICE CONTROL – Pair directly with Echo Studio, Echo Show 10, or 1st and 2nd generation Echo Plus immediately out of the package for easy voice command of connected devices. No additional equipment is required for use with these Echo models. Other Alexa and Google Assistant products can also be used for voice control when connected through a compatible Zigbee hub.
CONVENIENT DESIGN – Improved components reduced the housing depth by up to 20 percent compared to previous Zigbee models and eliminated the need for heat tabs. QuickFit enhancements are the ideal smart solution for older-style switch boxes, multi-gang configurations or any other application with limited space.
RAPID INSTALLATION WITH SIMPLEWIRE – Auto-detecting line/load terminals support fast and easy installation by identifying line and load wires and configuring the dimmer accordingly. Dual ground ports, which are offset to avoid switch box mounting screws, support daisy-chaining in multi-gang setups.
VERSATILE USE – Requires in-wall installation with hardwired connections – neutral wire REQUIRED. Supports 3-way and other multi-switch configurations when paired with up to four add-on switches – model 46199. Includes white and light almond paddles (wallplate not included). Works with dimmable LEDs and CFLs as well as incandescent, and halogen bulbs.
TRUSTED NETWORK – Zigbee 3. 0 is forward and backward compatible and does not use well-known network keys, which allows reliable, safe home automation. Certified device-to-device interoperability and a proven mesh network eliminate single points of failure while supporting large networks. The smart dimmer also extends your Zigbee signal by up to 150ft.

Easy to install and works great with Home Assistant.
I’ve got a couple of these now and, all in all, am pretty pleased with them. Installation is a breeze if you know anything about home wiring (and, honestly, even if you don’t.) They even come with a little neutral pigtail for adding to the wire nut that’s almost certainly already in the box.Pairing to my Home Assistant was a breeze, and the controls work as expected. My only complaints are that it doesn’t support anything beyond on, off, and dimming. There’s no way to configure actions for double-tap, tap-and-hold, etc. (Tap-and-hold changes the brightness, but you can’t change that.)They’re not my favorites (I would rather use Inovelli switches instead) but they’re great for blending in with existing paddle-style switches. So if you’re looking for some simple smarts without all the bells and whistles, that looks like a normal switch, these are a good bet.

Perfect for Home Assistant
Works like a light switch. Paired flawlessly using a sonoff zigbee coordinator connected to home assistant. Dims, turns off, turns on, etc..In a 3-way configuration it gets a bit confusing, most 3 way switches have 2 terminals labeled traveler and 1 labeled common… This switch has 2 “Line/Load” terminals, 1 traveler, 1 neutral (which is required by the way), plus a ground.I haven’t found a way to turn off the blue “locator” light, it should in theory be possible but I haven’t found a way. It’s only illuminated when the lighting is off, not an issue in my application but I can see that being less than ideal in a bedroom.Edit: You can change the locator light options from on (when switch is on or when it’s off) to off by pressing up 3 times and down 1 time quickly and cycling through the options.

Works but has a glaring limitation for home automation
I bought the Zigbee version if this dimmer switch because I have a large Zigbee network of devices. So far it’s working well but it has one glaring omission compared to the same dimmer from the same company in the ZWave version. On the positive side this dimmer (and it’s non-dimmer sibling) with the added remote switch(es) do a really good job of handling 3-way, 4-way etc. wiring configurations. Strangely there are few Zigbee options on the market that do well at this. I’m still buying these to handle that use case in my home and if you don’t care about the missing automation feature then I highly recommend it. As an added bonus they come with a light almond paddle you can swap with the white which matches my decor. As to the negative side I don’t know why the developers chose to do this but the Zigbee version of this switch only exposes on/off events and does not expose tap events like the ZWave version does. (Note: I do not have the ZWave version so I’m going off forum discussions that say the ZWave version exposes tap events). The lack of tap events means no automation events (scenes etc.) can be triggered on double tap etc. The switch firmware itself also does not go to 100% brightness on a double tap from a previously dimmed setting which many dimmer switches will do. This is what I had hoped to automate in my HA server with tap events but nope, can’t do it.This could have been a 5 star product but I have to knock off a star for this omission in home automation support. I don’t know if it’s possible but I hope the developers add this in a future firmware update and would gladly revise my review if they did.

Solid choice for basic Zigbee lighting
I am using this with Home Assistant and the Zigbee Home Automation integration through a SONOFF Gateway dongle plugged into a Raspberry Pi 5. The switch was recognized without much trouble. The instantaneous demand and summation delivered values wouldn’t initially update, even after a couple hours of being on. After I manually read the values, then the automatic updates started working. The only problem is, they’re not available anywhere! I want to start replacing more switches, but I can’t buy them anywhere. :(The 43082 variant has power monitoring, but the 43080 DOES NOT. It looks like the 43080 one is the only one available anymore.

Two out of two did not function properly. Returned both.
I really wanted these to work as they match other rocker switches, have a working dimmer function, and are supposed to connect to a smart hub for Alexa integration. The first one I order worked without the smart features, despite me have a neutral wire. I could manually turn on the switch, but the switch would not go into pair mode whether I reset it manually or disconnected the power to re-cycle it. I even got on the phone with tech support and they confirmed the switch was faulty as it would not enter pairing to make contact with the Enbrighten App or Alexa.I submitted a return and received an exchange two days later…and it’s the exact same issue. The light switch will turn the lights on and off, dim them, but will not enter pairing mode when first connecting the switch to power so therefore is not discoverable by bluetooth, the Enbrighten App or Alexa. The led on the switch is supposed to blink indicating it’s in pairing mode, and neither switch would start blinking, just three blinks every couple minutes.I wanted to like it, but I’ve apparently gotten two faulty switches in a row and I’m done with trying their products.

Very basic dimmer switch, but it does what it’s supposed to do. Personally I prefer Inovelli or Zooz dimmers/switches. They cost a bit more but also have more functionality.

I installed everything correctly, and the unit powers on. It WILL NOT pair with home assistant with Zigbee attachment.the light switch the unit is connected to is permanently “on” after install and no amount of pressing the paddle seems to affect anything.Just use a smart bulb. In the time it takes for you to burn them out, hopefully junk like this is unified via Matter.

Dans notre cas nous avons des encastrés Arani et il y a un clignotement lorsqu’on diminue l’intensité de l’ampoule. Pour les autres ampoules ça fonctionne parfaitement.

Just got my electricity redone and recessed lights installed and these will have them randomly flicker and will not be able to dim them at all even though they are dim to warm. Be it 1 bulb or 4, nothing works. There is also no way to change the mode or the high/low range that I know of and thus they are useless with these lights and I will have to switch to a basic lutron dimmer until I find a smart dimmer that works. They do work well with halogen, incandescent, Ikea basic LED exterior lights, Luminaire Authentik LED bulbs, etc.

Title says it all. These GE Enbrighten Zigbee dimmers won’t dim with many very standard LED dimmable bulbs. The non-dimming GE zigbee switches are great, I have a few of those. But these with dimmers are built cheaply and are not compatible with many many bulbs. I bought 10. Stupid me. Some bulbs flicker if not 100%, but many simply won’t turn on unless the brightness setting is at 100%. So it’s either on, or off.Installation by an electrician in a newly built condo, neutrals at each box. I wish I could send them all back.So I bought one Zooz Z-Wave dimmer at the suggestion of a friend. Installed it in place of the GE, and it worked like a charm.Do not buy this product if you want to reliably dim lights.
