    Awesome grill!
I purchased this Cuisinart Griddler because my husband and I just weren’t happy with our George Foreman Grill George Foreman GRP1060B 4 Serving Removable Plate Grill, Black. It didn’t have temperature adjustment, the drip tray would melt every time hot grease would drip in it (or after being put in the top rack of dishwasher), and it just wasn’t big enough really. When I came across this one on Amazon with such stellar reviews, I thought this would be the one for us. So I ordered it along with the waffle attachment Cuisinart GR-WAFP Griddler Waffle Plates.I have used it at least ten times since I received it. So far I have cooked eggs, bacon, pork chops, toast, a Philly steak sandwich, and waffles (with the waffle plates I purchased separately). Everything has turned out great except the first time I cooked eggs on it because I didn’t use cooking spray on it beforehand. So keep in mind that you will need to lightly spray the plates with cooking spray or use butter before placing your items on it that may stick.I love that I have the option of using either the griddle or the grill plates. When you use the Griddle setting you get to select a temperature between 200 up to 425 degrees. If you use the Grill/Panini setting you select your temperature as either warm, low, medium, high, and sear. There are also marks in between those settings so you are able to get a setting of medium-high for example. The plates (including the waffle plates) are dishwasher safe but after owning the George Foreman for years I am choosing to hand wash my plates on this Cuisinart. When I would put the George Foreman plates in the dishwasher it would never seem to get them very clean. I guess it is just too difficult to cut through all that grease and stuck on food that was burned on. It is super easy to clean the plates on this Cuisinart though. The non-stick plates make it where I can just wipe the mess right up with little to no effort. Very nice.I like that the drip tray on this grill is attached underneath the unit. That was a big frustration for me with the other grill. To constantly have to place it under the grill in just the right spot, then find something to do with it until it cooled down. I have furbabies so I didn’t want to leave it out because they look at it as “oh look, a meal!” Since this drip tray is attached I can pull it out and clean it when I please and then place it right back into the slot. Easy peasy.I love that I can fold this unit flat and make bacon, eggs, and toast all at the same time. It is wonderful. It is so nice not to have to dirty up a bunch of pots and pans and tun on my range all the time.Overall I really am proud of this Griddler. It has been a welcome replacement to our old grill and is definitely one of my best Amazon purchases. If you find my review useful please let me know and if you have any questions or comments, feel free to post them below and I will answer them as quickly as possible. Thank you for checking out my review. 🙂

    Impressive way to cook
This is an impressive device. Was originally just looking for a panini toaster and this does a great job of those. Turns out incredible toasted cheese sandwiches..!! But it also cooks bacon, fried and scrambled eggs in an amazingly quick time and to perfection. Chicken breasts or tenders come out nice on either the flat or raised grill. Pork chops or thin steak cuts do well. Easy to operate an clean. Exceeded my expectations.

11 years later & still going strong!
Original post: I saw an ad for this in a magazine, and used the QR code to visit the website and learn more. It’s either hot & humid or cold & yucky where we live, so we don’t do as much grilling as I’m used to from growing up in Southern California. I had one of the original George Foreman grills from YEARS ago, but it was a pain to clean so I stopped using it. I was debating another GF grill, since they now have models with interchangeable plates. Then I saw that ad for the Griddler. I read the reviews on amazon as well as other sites. I LOVED the fact that the plates could be washed in the dishwasher. I knew Cuisinart was getting a really good reputation for quality kitchen appliances. Finally, Amazon had the best price by $20. Done!Yes, the plates really do wash up well in the dishwasher–they can also be handwashed. I’ve done both several times. It’s incredibly easy to switch out the plates–grill ribs on one side, flat griddle (with rim so no spillage) on the other. I also purchased the waffle plates, and they made great Belgian waffles–much easier than with my Oster spinning waffler.Flip the center switch to choose the grill or griddle function (the manual explains what to use for cooking different items), and its light turns red so you know it’s on. The coils under the plates begin heating. Flip the dial for either the grill or griddle feature (whichever one you put the center switch on) to the temperature you want. I wasn’t used to using degrees for temperature on a griddle, but it’s easy to play with it and see what works best. When it’s heated to your desired temperature, a green light on that switch will light.Using the grill plates: I made hamburgers and my daughter made a panini. We used top & bottom at the same time, as for paninis (made the hamburgers grill more quickly–no need to turn them).Using the griddle plates: We’ve made several grilled cheese sandwiches. Be sure to open the Griddler to the flat position (there’s a little button on the side), so that you get the “floating hinge” effect and don’t squash your sandwich.Using it flat: I used it flat to cook eggs–it worked really well. One nice thing you can do is, when your food is almost ready, just turn the middle switch to OFF, and let the residual heat finish cooking your food. Then you don’t have to worry about leaving it on too long.I am surprised some people had problems with the drip tray. It tucks underneath in an angled manner (sounds weird–you’ll understand when you see it). Mine contained all of the hamburger grease really well–no mess on my kitchen counter. I love that it tucks away flatly–I’m just afraid I’ll forget to check it and get rid of the grease because it’s so unnoticeable! :DGet. Enjoy. Love! If you get a lemon (because lemons happen!), just return it for a new one, because this is a very well-made product.Update July 2024: we still use ours regularly and love it! The nonstick surfaces are still nonstick, despite almost always being run through the dishwasher. One of the best investments we’ve made.

I loved the look of this device as seen in Amazon marketplace however after receiving it I discovered it’s only for US electrical supplies. It had to be returned. I was disappointed to discover Cuisinart don’t supply a U.K. version – U.K. models are inferior in facilities

My girlfriend and I picked this up, along with the waffle plates that fit it, and we’re so happy with it. It works well as a contact grill (a la George Foreman) as well as a flat griddle and as a waffle maker. We’ve had success making eggs, bacon, pancakes, waffles, grilled cheese, grilled asparagus, and other foods. Both top and bottom plates come off and are very easy to clean, and will both drip down into the grease tray which is on the bottom of the machine. The only downsides are that if you use the grill, you have to wait for it to cool down before you can clean it and use it as a griddle or vice versa. We also found that cleaning the grease tray was not the easiest, but that was primarily because grease is just generally hard to clean. Overall, we have been very happy with this purchase, and are likely to remain so for some time.
