Surprisingly Great Alternative to Nest!
I’ve been a loyal Nest Thermostat user for years, but I decided to give the Amazon Smart Thermostat a try, and I’m genuinely impressed! It’s super easy to set up with the Alexa app, and the integration with my Echo devices is seamless. The minimalist design looks clean on my wall, and it’s been reliable at keeping my home comfortable. I love how it learns my preferences through Alexa Hunches—no manual tweaking needed. While I typically buy Nest for its premium feel and Google Home compatibility, this thermostat holds its own, especially for the price. If you’re in the Alexa ecosystem, I highly recommend giving this a shot!

Pretty nifty product – looks good, works good – recommended.
Living with it installed now for around 3 months I am very pleased with it. While thousands of miles away from home, I had to turn on the heat and set the thermostat to a higher temperature – and it worked perfectly.

Love this thermometer, a little advanced installation
I love the usability features of this thermometer, including integration with my Echo. The backplate completely covered the space left by my former thermostat and I think it actually looks better with the backplate anyway. This might be important if you don’t have the matching paint for the wall.My installation required a c-wire which I think added significantly to the complexity of the installation. My brother-in-law installed it for me, but he is an advanced handyman. However, it is important to note that the online instructions go into whether the c-line is needed, so you can figure this out in advance.However, it was totally worth it !

Purchased the Amazon smart thermostat hoping to save a little on electricity, and it hasn’t disappointed. Also received a $50 rebate from my electric company. I replaced a fairly new programmable thermostat that just seemed to make ac run constantly.This smart thermostat was easy to connect with easy to follow directions. Very pleased.

I bought this thermostat as it had great reviews and because I trust amazon products. I waited to install until after my home remodel and fell outside of the return window. Why is that important to note? I had an electrician install the smart thermostat, honeywell C-adapter, and the compatible cover plate only to have the item be useless due to the Amazon Alexa App and am out $120.00 with no option to return or get a refund. I spent hours troubleshooting with the support team and calling the manufacturer for guidance and what it came down to was the Alexa App was not allowing for connection… keep in mind I reset the thermostat twice to factory settings, installed-uninstalled- and-reinstalled the Alexa App on THREE separate devices, and rebooted my internet countless times all to be told its an issue with the App. There is no way to use the thermostat manually without connecting to the app and amazon won’t stand by the product or the darn app. DO NOT BUY.

I should have bought this a long time ago
This thing is great. It was kind of a pain to install with our system but we got it figured out and it was worth it. The smart thermostat features are great and I love being able to set it from my phone when we’re away and the Midwest weather can’t make up it’s mind.
