    The Best Dot Ever!
I love the Dot Max. Especially, the different colors are nice👌🏽. I got the purple 🟣 one. It sounds crystal 🔮 clear. It fits perfectly in a certain spot next to my Bed 🛏️. I wish 🙏🏽 this one had the time like the others, but it’s ok. I know it’s coming, 😆. The features are even better. I like that you can setup easier and the buttons are on the front instead of the top. The cost is not bad at all. It works well with the Alexa+. She’s faster than ever and her response is even better. She talks to you like a real person does, wow 😳. You’re going to love this Dot Max and I highly recommend it. I might get another one 😜.

    Awesome
So I just received my Echo Dot Max and I’m very impressed with it. The sound quality is good, nice bass and vocals are clear. It hears me when I’m across the room and I can hear it’s response clearly. The volume is great weather you want it somewhat low to have it in the background or if you want it to fill the room for a jam session. I don’t have anything bad to say about it. Alexa+ is really cool and functional, it learns quickly and remembers. The new voice is different just because I’m used to the old voice. So if you guys are looking to upgrade or just looking for one I highly recommend the dot max!! I wish I would of got purple though!!

    Excellent item!
So much improved over the 1st Version round tower Alexa device. The music quality is really improved, the + feature allows you to ask questions in regular questions ways, not as it was ~ very specific or you didn’t get an answer, plus it it has AI ability. Also, Alexa sounds like a real person too. I haven’t come anywhere close to using the device for all it will do, but I’ll add its connectivity ability as time goes on, no sense in buying connectable items before their normal life span. I did try a remote but it didn’t work as advertised (separate item) so I sent it back, unneeded. I only wanted it so I didn’t have to yell over Alexa when she was playing music to make a change, the new model if very sensitive. The Echo Dot Max inspired me to replace my old bedroom Echo Dot with the new model…I dumped my old clock radio the first day. Not really new or updated product – listening device
Update after three weeks. It’s going back, I’m returning this device. The slow responses are now 6 seconds to almost 15 seconds, regardless of question or task. I think it didn’t hear me to set a timer, have enough time to ask again and then it tells me I already have a timer. BUT the final straw(s) have been when the device participates in conversations without the wake word. My husband and I are talking or I am talking out loud, the device has, multiple times, offered comment on what was said. No wake word was used, it is constantly listening. That is just too creepy for words. Since it is a device I use for weather, cooking, timer, news, it does not make sense to mute it constantly. In today’s environment, I do not need anything listening to me. Shame on you Amazon….at least put a warning on the box.Again….software engineers need to be re-engaged on this product. Right now the device is do-do and not only not worth the money but serves as a listening device in your home. This product was to replace our 10+ year Alexa who was showing signs of fatigue with slow responses, delays, listening issues and confusion. We did not want a show for the location so purchased this brand new “state of the art” echo. The new product has slow responses, delays, listening issues and confusion.I am very disappointed in how little update Amazon has put into this product. Only the same wake words are available. Why can’t we decide our own wake words? The voices are AWFUL. You get 6, 3 male and 3 female, and none are really a neutral tone. For some reason Amazon decided we should only have voices with some kind of intonation. Yuck to all of them.Another issue was pairing my new echo with our alexa clock. It should not take 30 minutes and lots of confusion with no clear directions to pair two devices in the same family. It should have been almost instant. It’s getting very old that Amazon keeps increasing the price of their electronic products like echo and kindle…SIGNIFICANT price increases but with no real advances in the technology. Similar products in the market are far outpacing Amazon in quality and price. The changes that should be made are software not hardware. Why is it so hard for Amazon to put more effort into to software development for their products? Did Amazon pull a Tesla and fire all their engineers? If this is a product that AI developed…….fire AI.Not sure yet whether we will keep this. Seriously thinking about switching to google. In fact, if you are not already an Alexa/echo family, I suggest you strongly consider google instead of echo. One positive statement…I do like the purple color.

Ok, but not great, needs to project more soundstage for larger rooms
I wanted to love this speaker but noticed a signficant drop in volume and sound stage, this replaced an Echo 1st Gen tower speaker. I thought that for the price this unit would have sufficiently upgraded hardware to be able to perform near to the tower speaker which from what I have seen none of the newer gen speakers equal. The only reason I replaced is that speaker was just showing the blue ring all the time. The quality is acceptable for a small room but certainly not great for family room or even a master bedroom. The one thing I like is the size, this one looks great and has descent audio but certainly not enough volume and sound stage for the price increase from the older spherical dot models. I have several of those and really like them for small spaces. We wanted an unobtrusive speaker for bedroom use without using a show or one of the newer screen style units that have fairly good audio, I have one of those in kitchen and it has been great. As for this Dot Max, for me its just ok and the audio performance doesnt match the price vs the younger sibling models. To date none of the dots or Echos has matched the quality, volume, sound stage and mic array functionality of the 1st gen Echos. That is a bummer as I had hoped this max could deliver in a smaller footprint.

Me gustó mucho es la primera Alexa que tengo y hasta ahorita todo muy bien buen sonido y funcionalidad

The sound is really good compared to other Echos and after a couple days I do like Alexa+ for the few things I’ve asked. I also like the idea it can act as an external speaker for firestick-fuelled TVs. At less than the price of a decent sound bar for a pair (on sale at least) – it may feel like a waste of horsepower to put them together in the same room, but I’m considering it. An option with just a good speaker and no Alexa that can connect to this one? That’s what I’d love to see next, I’d put pairs of those in a few rooms. The sound? Top end great, it does lose power in low freqs as you’d expect by the size. Mine is in the same room as the good stereo that is also connected to my tv. For a device I don’t have to switch between, the sound is more than acceptable and a big step up from the dot it replaced.

La bocina suena muy chido y en blanco se ve precioso

  9. Dennis C Caron

Great sound and easy to setup.

At first I didn’t think it was very good, but then I moved it closer to the wall about 15 cm away and it created more bass. It is very crazy for a little speakers in a little device. I recommend this
