The right size for a lot of great pesto for two all year long
As a basil lover, this thing scratches my itch. Easy to set up, easier to use, it grows enough basil in a month for us to eat a lot of pesto. I also use it for winter greens. Don’t over think it. Just keep the water tank filled, feed your plants when the lightning top indicates it’s time to do so and enjoy. Great price, easy and it works.

Easy to use, plants grow well – bought another for my daughter, and my neighbor bought one
I’m pretty bad about watering plants, and I hate bugs. So I’d almost given up on growing herbs. But this is so easy to use, it’s a pleasure. The unit is well made, easy to use, and has already paid for itself in herbs I didn’t have to buy at the store (in just over 2 months). I’m growing mostly basil in mine, because I use a lot and can never find Holy basil and rarely find Thai basil at the store. I’ve already harvested enough to justify the cost of the unit, seeds, and the extra grow food I’ve purchased. After 3 month, have harvested so much I’ve lost track – Basil Salads, Pestos, and Thai Basil Chicken – all from one compact unit! I’ve also got thyme in mine, but that’s a slow grower, so it’s taking it’s time, but doing well.The only issue is that sometimes the light timer gets confused. Mine has occasionally turned on too early and gotten off track. But it’s easy to just turn it off and back on once to get it reset, and then it works again for weeks. Also, the tiny window to check for water level gets hard to read once there are roots all over the place, but that may be my problem because I’ve got it in a sunny window, so there’s a lot of background light. I love the adjustability of the light height, so I can let my plants grow fairly tall, or keep them harvested at a shorter height.I bought a second unit for my daughter after she liked it on her visit, and she’s loving hers as well. She’s fairly picky about things looking nice, and she likes the unit very much, so it must appeal to younger adults as well as us old-timers.My neighbor saw it and purchased one as well (I’m a bit miffed that hers was half the price of mine for the same unit – wish I had waited for tha sale). She’s growing Romaine in hers, and so far, it’s going great. She’s only using half of the grow slots to allow for larger plants. It’s nice that there are plugs to close off the spots not being used. I have every slot in mine planted, but that makes it rather crowded.I’m hoping to purchase another unit in the future to save time and money getting herbs at the grocery store.

Great beginner system and value for money
This is my second hydroponic garden. I bought this one as I wanted a white system for my office but also as it was cheaper than others. The set up was easy.My other hydroponic garden is different brand and more expensive. For the price, this is a very good system and works just as well. The only difference is my other garden has a handy app. The only slight issue was that I don’t always use all the growing stations and needed more covers than what was provided. I would highly recommend based on price and for a first timer at using an indoor hydroponic garden.

Fun and easy to use, just maybe not quite the end result they picture
Works great, but just know how it’s presented in the product photos might not be realistic. While it might be somehow possible to grow things as large as presented, I found that it’s not really how I found myself using this. This product is excellent for starting seeds and getting them to germinate into nice small plants. From there, I transplant them into roughly 4” diameter pots and keep those on a shelf with grow lights. After maybe 3 months, I finally move the potted plants into a back yard garden.Trying to actually grow plants as large as pictured is sort of impossible because of crowding on top and below, where the roots would get all tangled and probably just end up breaking the pump.That said, your experience can vary significantly depending on what you plan to grow. Smaller herbs might work well in something like this for their full lifetime, but I have serious doubts about growing a full salad’s worth of plants in this device, which is practically what they present in the photos. That said, all the competition seems to have similar photos, so it almost feels like you can’t count this against them. It’s also possible that it really does work to grow things that big in it, and that I just never gave it a chance, but it felt like it just wasn’t going to be wise to let it all become a tangled mess.All that aside, I am very glad I made this purchase. It ended up inspiring a whole hobby I never imagined myself being so interested in. We have lots of lovely greenery around our home, and I feel it changed my perspective and gratitude towards food and plants in general. 😊

Easy to use
It was easy to plant and my lettuce is tiny, but growing right now. It fits easily under a cabinet on my kitchen countertop and works well as a night light. I’m excited to taste some of the lettuce.

I have four of these. They grow so fast and almost no work at all except in the beginning and then topping up water once or twice a month. I have been growing cilantro and microgreens. So far, I have pruned them twice and they grow more once you prune them

I received my system yesterday and putting it together now. I had already started my tiny tomato’s a week before…quite by accident. I put all my seeds into the clear plastic boxes (originally meant for earrings), without noticing, the seeds weren’t fully dried. It was about 1 week later, I realized, next summers seeds started sprouting. I looked for a well reviewed planter and this one ticked all the boxes, so far, setting up has been a breeze and I’m loving how it looks on my counter. Once I find a permanent home for my unplanned indoor garden, I’ll add to this posting.At this point in time, I give it a solid 5 stars because it’s literally unbox, drop everything in, add water and grow.(**Note that it’s a little tight at first using the telescopic light, open it and close is BEFORE plugging in and adding water. I laid it in on my lap and on its side to support both top and bottom, then slowly pulled top up and pushed back down, I did that until it’s movement felt smoother, maybe 6 times.)
