Excellent Z-Wave dimmer
The dimmers work great with our LED lights and with my Home Assistant based Z-Wave ZWA-2 controller. I love that these function like normal light switches where tapping down turns it off and tapping up turns it on; I’ve had older Leviton dimmer where you push the bottom once to turn it on and push the bottom again to turn it off which makes it hard for those not used to the switches to use.The dimmer does require a neutral and kind of large to put in an electrical box, it can be done with a little effort.

Great Z-Wave devices
I am an admitted fan of Leviton products. I have many items of their smart switches/dimmers, etc. using Wi-Fi or Z-Wave. This purchase was for a home where the Z-Wave devices will be controlled and integrated in a larger system along with locks, thermostat, garage doors, etc. but it does not support Wi-Fi devices so Z-Wave was the right technology for this system. They are easy to install and use and operate reliably.

Didn’t work as suggested
Didn’t work with existing 3 ways as suggested.Called manufacturer for assistance, tried programming change, then was told I would need a companion switch. For context, I am a Master Electrician.

Looks and behaves like the Leviton 600 series, fixes Z-wave live events, but a step backwards wiring
We had half a house full of the 600 series Leviton devices, which worked well enough. The have the interchangeable face plates so we can match the gray plates our builder used. The 600 series had a problem with Homeseer hubs that the devices would stop sending live events (e.g. if someone presses the switch, it sends an event to the hub that the switch was pressed). These devices appear to finally fix that issue, and so far have been sending events successfully. They also work with the existing generation of dimmer remote companions, which were common across a lot of Leviton products. This was a nice consistency to maintain. Most importantly, from outware appearances they look and function just like their predecessors. Green LED when powered off, green LED to show dimming action, and amber LED when in inclusion mode. From the casual user, there is no difference, and no risk in mix and matching old and new devices. I’m grateful Leviton didn’t go to a white or blue LED, for example. Most frustratingly, while other manufacturers are slimming down the fixture depth, Leviton went backwards and are using an old-school encloses device, with pre-wired, braided copper pigtails. Which means on a dimmer, you have five wire nuts and leads to make fit in your box. It gets tight, but fortunately I only needed these on boxes that are pretty empty. It might get busy with multiple dimmers/switches involved. This is the only reason I took a star away.

Works great but for 3-way you need Leviton accompanying switch
They work great. For 3-way you need Leviton accompanying switch that is not too expensive, but it is additional cost

Slow response, dimmer and on/off status inconsistent with SmartThings status
Got this to replace a GE/Jasco dimmer smart switch. Connected fine to SmartThings after following the instructions. Definitely more lag than the GE’s to a point where I’m unsure if it’s working. Then a few seconds later it works. The GE smart switch that was in the same location worked with no lag. Also another bothersome thing is the dimmer function. When adjusting from the switch and then manually turning it off and on it works. But then when I turn it off and on using SmartThings, the dimmer setting changes Sometimes it’s 1% other times some random level. Moreover sometimes when manually turning on the switch, SmartThings shows it as off. How am I supposed to reliably know the on/off status unless I physically go to the location and check the light! Worthless if I’m remote. Luckily it’s not in a high-use location and since it’s already wired in and installed I’m not about to disconnect the wires for return and to set up and reinstall another model. I do not recommend this unless you’re okay with the dimmer control and on/off status issue or have found a solution for it. It’s definitely a 1 star rating for me.

Uses Green Operating Light
Our GE Z-Wave switches are beginning to fail and they are no longer available. I replaced using a Leviton Decora Smart Dimmer 800 Series and I’m very satisfied. Install was very easy. However, note the difference in operating lights between the two brands in my photo. GE uses a blue light and Leviton is green.

Best zwave switches available
Absolutely love Leviton switches. There are not many zwave switches on the market but these are the best I’ve used. They are worth the premium. Every switch in my house has been replaced with these. Perfect integration into SmartThings and never have any issues with them dropping or not working with my home automation.

Got these instead of Lutron Caseta, it was a tossup. I have never been disappointed with either company but the lower price made me decide to use these z-wave dimmers. Only problem is the companion dimmer for 3 ways is not for sale on Amazon in Canada, but is available at Home Depot online.

I just finished installing it and I don’t know if I will keep using it.Z-Wave is the reason I bought it. It works great, easy to pair, good response. 5/5.Installation: follow the instructions. 5/5.The front and the click feels cheap. The top button works about 85% of the time, which is a problem, even though you can clearly hear the internal switch clicking. The brightness adjustment buttons are not very comfortable.Personally, I think we should be able to change the dimming step size. By default, it’s 10% per click. Ten clicks feels like a lot, and you cannot modify it.

These are great. Stylish, easy to get connected to SmartThings ecosystem. One downside is these don’t have wire terminals, they have wire leads. This may cause you trouble if your already tight on space in the box you’re installing it in.Note, even though you should be doing this already, you must connect the ground. Yes, there are switches that still work if you don’t connect the ground wire (you still should not do this), but these will not work if you skip it.
